Well if he has stepped up and progressed that's nothing but a good thing as a second yr in system guy...u could see last yr he had a huge learning curve about CFL game...and I was/am less than inspired in who we brought in to replace Lawler...Wilson...Drew and unknown in Schoen...it's a weak group save for Demski and Clercius coming back...a butt load of hopium in 2..or 3 guys

Is camp running tomorrow.

Looking to pop in as have some free time

O'Shea has always said players tend to make a leap on the second year, whether its learning the cfl game, or the bombers system. As far as the other recievers its a bit early to make any judgements.  Schoen hasnt stepped on the field and prior to being injured he was more productive than Lawler. We dont know what we have in d. Mitchell and Stern let alone the rookies.

Having said that I'm still disappointed that we let Woli go, especially when our Canadian receiver group looks weak behind Demski and Clercius

Save a bit of cash if Myron Mitchell replaces Dillon Mitchell, who is scheduled to make $160k and has yet to impress.  He has the potential to be great but he's not delivering.

I know its early but am I wrong to think that the best case scenerio for the linebacker spots is for Ayers and J. Jones to be the starters with K.Wilson as a DI?

That’s how I see it generally for starters. Though I will say tony jones does look improved this year so far. If he keeps it up he and Jonathon jones will be a battle.
I wouldn’t di kyrie. They’ve been playing him at mac in camp this week, I think they might seriously consider that and cut a good young backer sadly.
 I wouldn’t di a wil/Mac this year.

Myron Mitchell was a guy they liked out of camp last year too. Maybe he took a step, if he’s our best wr right now we are pooched.
What’s more concerning to me is we are not cycling guys out and air lifting new ones in. Its a hard year for WRs in camp, with the system change and need to prep two starting QBs for week 2 and 3.
From what I’ve seen none of the QBs are where I would’ve hoped and expected.
It’s a hard camp for them too. New system, no Jackson in yet, bunch of changes on the ol/rec core.

Week 1, lots of rust to shake off and new guys to gel with. If we are gonna start off better than last year, we need a better performance this coming week and a to see a little some thing out of the offence in pre season game 1.

Thought this was a good piece from Tait... As always, very worth your click...

In reading between the lines, it looks like Lofton may be in trouble. He was OK last year but not exceptional enough to warrant gifting him a spot. From the Tait description, it sounds like the overall talent is better than last year.

As I said that's mine concern too. Wilson hasn't had a healthy season since 2019.

Agree. I think Lofton is on the verge already of being passed by both vanterpool and Randolph. Those two side by side on the right would be great.

Yeah and honestly his upside at this point is not far off ayers floor.

Nope...not wrong at all

I’d rather see Kyrie Wilson get cut, to be honest

And like Thomas...Schmeck...same scenario...just ******* any progression and transition as well as development of younger...better players another yr

Realistically, if Lawson was out we don’t need the ni dl starter. Full imp dl would be nasty too.

Exactly...it's not a need...and carrying 3 on the active roster...2 of which are not top tier...and don't help on ST is just a waste

Use those 2 national spots on practical players who excel on teams and can take reps on offence or defence

Not really bomber related, but last week I was in the US for work and something about football came up and someone was like Chris loves Canadian football. I said something about the bombers and he was like I won a grey cup in Winnipeg which was 2006 and the only grey cup I've gone to in person. He was playing for BC at the time.

Chris Wilson? IIRC, he and Brent Johnson were starting at DE.

According to the Bomber site::

Monday, May 19 – at field beside WSF South
Practice: 9:00 a.m. -12:25 p.m.

Anyone remember if they have bleechers? Thinking of heading down this morning with my son.

Yeah, I thought he might have to fight to win his spot. I found it unusual how many import OL we brought in this TC, so that must have been another indicator. Lofton not practising won't help him either.
