Maruo and Cole really ate **** on that fake jet QB dive.

Always makes me chuckle, the doom and gloom. These are the first live reps these guys have seen in months. With players they have little to no chemistry with. And a set of rules they’re only beginning to get comfortable with.

I think the key is to not get caught up in the result, but what’s the process look like? Who is showing a pattern? Who’s standing out? 

Couldn't stop an outbreak of herpes in a strip club this D right now.

In general I would say our LB's look like they are doing way too much thinking and not enough reacting/playing through their assignments.  They are trying to figure out what the assignment is.

Maruo stock is way down, especially with how noticeable Karamoko has been.

Agreed it’s the first pre season game for **** sakes. Rarely looks pretty. Despite that we still have a lead, everything will be just fine

I like him as a rush end/backer in a 30 front.  Don't think I'd do much else with him on D.  He's a little too slow in the open.

We have a lead. I guess by that merit our O has been amazing.

Well … 

Because they’re using their starting OL against a very green DL? Because offensive concepts are pretty much universally understood to be installed cleaner than defensive concepts? Because we’re not throwing anything but vanilla looks at them? Because they’ve already played one game aka they’re not actually in the same boat?

We should be looking at individual performances rather than overall.  With all the swapping out of players, its gonna be a mess and if we win, its a small bonus.
