2023 CFL Draft Discussion

Wasn't sure if this existed already.

Anyone know anything about Charlie Ringland and/or the Bombers potential interest in him? I know his mom from elementary school, and thought it would be kind of cool for him to end up a Bomber.

This draft will be very interesting.  There's about 10 guys that are probably NFL players for how long that last for them.  Will be interesting to see how far they drop.  Bombers could be a team to ta

I watch a lot of RSEQ football. Bomber fans will like Jeremy Murphy. Great hands, sneaky fast, good route runner, makes tough catches. One of those guys who would put up 100 yards and a couple of touc

Ottawa takes a 5'9" linebacker?!?!?

This guy was a successful college player...oh, I thought a lot of pro football prospects had terrible college careers.

HUGE special teamer.  They aren't drafting him to play D.

All these picks are such great fits.

If they are going to have such shitty analysis they really should increase the pace.

I love Barker saying any of the first 9 could have gone 1st

So it is a bad draft year

Some of these guys are going to be on CFL rosters in 2023.

Sign me up for next year, TSN.

Yeah awful.  All the good OL are NFLers.  The top rated CIS OL tested extremely poorly including getting dummied in the live drills.  Not a lot of years where Bull would be a 1st rounder let alone 1st overall.

They are going to have to really hurry to even get through the second round by 9 PM.

And now we have Jake Kelly (DB).

But he is going to stand on tiptoe to see over the nap of the turf. And roll his socks down to pee.

It kind of sucks to have to be using our top picks just to replace guys we lost to the nfl. But it is what it is.

Futures pick for the Argos.

4th round pick:

Tanner Schmekel, University of Regina (Regina, Ssk.)

A monster in the middle for the Rams, Schmekel is a bull-strong, 290-pound gap plugger who is almost impossible to move off his spot. A team is liable to fall in love with his positional discipline and physicality on tape, but his below-average athletic ability and mere 30-inch arms limit his potential.

So far picks looks good. I like Bennetts potential fit. Rotational pass rusher behind a di and hansen play some teams. But old and a bit light.
high upside athletic db who could also play teams in Kelly.
 Murphy seems like mini woli.
schmekel drips that nasty hard nosed mafia type.
would love to see some futures picks.

Riders go with the first real futures pick in Sidy Sow.

Love that we got Kornelson. The profile Tait wrote makes him seem like the ultimate Mafia guy. Just a super nice kid who wants to do things the right way. It nothing else he's gonna fit in really well.
