So this would be the final weekend of the CFL regular season. Next week would be the Semis, and of course Finals and then Grey Cup in the 3rd week of November. I've decided that I'm going to attempt some sort of Re-Watch Party on those days, exactly when the games would be happening. I have the edited re-broadcasts of each game on my PVR (I didn't tape the games at the time, for fear of jinxing us...) but was fortunate enough to have come into bluray copies of each game, with the complete broadcast on it. 

 

So, my November weekends are all set. I wish there was some way we could all participate in this, virtually, and do a MBB Chat throughout each game. I'm really missing the camaraderie each week and having upcoming games to talk about. Just absolutely heart breaking right now. We've got a relatively small "bubble" of friends (less than 10) that we see outside of work, so that'll have to do for now, but man..... I really miss the real thing.

Just an aside but I found this video from 2009 where Ken Ploen accepts on behalf of his teammates from the 1959 & 62 teams being inducted into the Manitoba Sports Hall Of Fame. Ken is such a class act.

Grey Cup Sunday!! 

Watched 84 and 88 GCs yesterday and currently have 90 up on the TV. Getting pumped for the GC107 rebroadcast!! 

Watching the rebroadcast right now in the 3rd qrt. still say that was a penalty on the Addison td. don't care what Suitor says

Unbelievable game....fantastic "live watch" party with Harris/Alexander in the first half and (even better!) Neufeld/FatboiThomas in the second half. Great insight on the game. I found the CJOB post-game show online and listening to that now, while sipping some good Sandy Lake home brew.......this is a good night.

Neufeld and Fatboi were hilarious at halftime. I didn't get to watch the whole thing but it was neat to hear them talk over the plays. Good insight. 

Watching that game Pat Neufeld was the best olineman in that game. He was pretty dominate.

*Dominant -- and yes, he sure was. He had a few pancake blocks that were outstanding. The entire interior of the line was incredible. Our tackles are always special, but the interior was THE story in allowing Harris to do what he does best....
