Around The NHL 2020/21

The New York Rangers are extremely disappointed that Capitals forward Tom Wilson was not suspended for his horrifying act of violence last night at Madison Square Garden. Wilson is a repeat offender with a long history of these types of acts and we find it shocking that the NHL and their Department of Player Safety failed to take the appropriate action and suspend him indefinitely. Wilson’s dangerous and reckless actions caused an injury to Artemi Panarin that will prevent him from playing again this season. We view this as a dereliction of duty by the NHL head of Player Safety, George Parros, and believe he is unfit to continue in his current role.

Was the anonymous player watching porn with the video coach? Also seems to me that if this video coach makes unwanted sexual advancement to a grown man who is a professional hockey player he could punch the guy's lights out in self defense, no problem. I know I would. This is just strange.

"The lawsuit alleges that in May 2010, the coach “turned on porn and began to masturbate in front of” the Blackhawks player without the player’s consent." - This does not sound like he was watching porn with the video coach, more like he was subjected to porn by the video coach.

"The lawsuit also described “inappropriate text messages” from the coach to the player and threats to “physically, financially and emotionally” harm the player if he “did not engage in sexual activity” with the coach." - This, to me, is a bit of a smoking gun... the player has evidence the coach is pursuing an unwanted sexual relationship... the player (maybe an 18 or 19 year old kid?) must have genuinely believed this guy could hurt their career if they came forward or didn't comply. There are any number of reasons victims don't come forward (be it shame and embarrassment, guilt, fear of reprisal, so on...)

My best advice is if a guy ever starts to CK his Louie infront of you, ask him to stop or get up and leave before punching his lights out - less likelihood of facing charges or being touched by an unwanted willy that way

I'll add it's disgusting that these guys are able to keep up their sick games for years... horrible that this trash gets recycled... I find it hard to believe that these guys don't generate some sort of reputation... that there aren't warning signs or red flags or whispers that follow these pricks from job to job... too many people must be turning a blind eye.... for every Sandusky there must be a Paterno or two.

I meant punching the guys lights out if he makes advances & the player feels threatened. Otherwise yeah just leave.
