I'm starting this thread as a side discussion of all things Corona Virus related. I understand that this is going to be discussed in almost all other topic threads but we could collect news and other items here. 

 

At work, many conferences have been cancelled.

NBA - Suspended.

NHL - About to be suspended. 

NCAA March Madness - Playing - no crowd. 

 

Political Rallies have been cancelled. 

Travel bans. 

 

Rita Wilson and Tom Hanks tested positive. They're in Australia where testing is available. If they were in the US, they wouldn't have been tested. 

I think it was more about people travelling province to province with no quarantine that resulted to the spike in the fall.

College / Uni was and still is - mostly remote learning in MB.

Not until everyone in a care home gets their 2 shots.

The part that makes uneasy is not just the arrival of the variant in larger and larger numbers, but the uncertainty as to where the hell some of them have come from.

If the variants aren't controlled by the vaccines (so far, so good, but.....) we're absolutely ******...

Thank God, I was trying to grapple with getting the vaccine myself and trying to explain to my kids that they were **** out of luck- now... I don't have to have that conversation.

Was trying to explain to them why mom and dad were going on vacation this summer and they were staying home, Now, I'm going to need a better excuse than just telling them to ask Pallister why they can't join us.

well my grandmother is getting the first of the two COVID shots today

 

I hope today if they announce any eligibility expansions they jump by 5 years, because at least then my dad will be eligible

73 is the current age. They're booking a couple of weeks out right now, so I don't expect the eligibility to drop much over the next few days.
