Bombers, you need to look within yourselves and find that player that can defeat OTT. Then and only then will find true self discovery and live your best life.

Thompkins had a huge game against Ottawa if I am remembering correctly....  which is a big if...

Okpalaugo/Nevis need to dominate against Gott/Lauzon-Seguin early - get Harris off his game

Nichols needs to play clean football...  Redblack have a lot of mobile DL - Nelson will drop them back early and then put some real pressure on in the second half

It depends upona few variables. Can our D play up to the level it did against the Esks? What Trevor Harris will show up? Will Matt Nichols the Game Manager come to play?  Will Andrew Harris have a big game?

All about the D and harris imo. If the D keeps it rolling and harris has a big game we got it. No matter what nichols shows up, I cant see us winning a passing shoot out.

Having demski back could prove huge as well. He was the punishment when teams cheated against the run with harris too much.

Would love to see the Bombers D pick up where they left off and show they can dominate no matter who is on the field.  The last month they’ve been on a mission despite a craptastic offence.

As for Ottawa... there seems to be this persistent notion that Mark Nelson is still their DC.  Noel Thorpe is their DC this season.

Nah, Thorpe is the DC. You can see it on the sidelines with the enthusiasm he shows when his defense makes a big play. Nelson meanwhile coaches linebackers & is safely ensconced up in the coaches booth upstairs far away from the team below so he isn't a distraction.

Definition of going full lapo. : any of a certain number of non-aggressive plays designed by a Canadian Football League Offensive Co-Ordinator Paul LaPolice. Generally considered to be a thorough play designer guru, the term indicates the unwillingness to use an entire playbook in favour of safer, more restricted play calling. Using this basis for game calling in the CFL has led to predictability by opposing teams and frustration for the team’s fan base.

The offence shows signs of being divergent and effective but that is often only a tease and reverts to lapoism. Kind of like the “hit the gopher” game. Shows up - then disappears..
