If you start Streveler and he does poorly....what confidence does the team have when Nichols goes in? Short short leash Nichols, maybe he bounces back.....less pressure on Streveler if he ends up in the game if he goes in half way thru the first quarter.

It's not right to stop supporting the team. I think what needs to happen is that the fans need to write to the Board to remove the present regime.

Bob is a real idiot.  Great play-by-play guy.  Not an analyst.  He was shitting on Streveler during the broadcast, on the bomb to Adams, said Adams bailed him out, total BS.  Had a hard time saying anything nice about Streveler or crediting him for good plays after taking stand against fans on Nichols.  Making lots of apologies for Nichols on all the turnovers.

As sure as the sky is blue, Nichols single handedly lost that game for us today. No one can say otherwise & be taken seriously.

Problem is that Lapo is game-planning for the starter and that's it.  Could you ever convince him to make a plan for Streveler too?  I guess with an ultimatum, do it or get fired.  If we're going to run Streveler out to run Nichols' plays we're going to go nowhere.  We're handicapping Streveler.

Fans almost all calling for O'Shea to go. Bob defending him saying Lapo makes the calls on offense, not O'Shea.

I find it annoying that cross over is the hope.

 

Well I just think it's going to be really awkward for Matt Nichols to explain to his daughter why he named her middle name after a football team that wanted to run him out of town (her name is Parker Winnie Lou Nichols)... guess it seemed like a good idea at the time?

lol listening to the post-game show and the person who moderates with Walby and Westwood (can't think of his name) was defending Nichols and using his past history, in particular the playoff game against Edmonton which he referred to as probably Nichols best game as a Bomber.  I remember this game as one in which Nichols racked up a lot of garbage time stats after not being particularly impressive for the majority of the game.

I looked back and checked and nichols final stats were 370 yards passing with 3 TDs and no INTs.  Sounds impressive...until you look at the game log and realize that in the final 11 minutes Nichols passed for 190 yards with the Bombers down by 3 scores.  Loads of garbage time stats with Nichols gaining 90 yards in the final 1.5 minutes alone dinking and dunking down the field to bring the Bombers to back within a TD with 0 time left on the clock.  Best game indeed!
