Saturday: Do Bombers Win Doubleheader?

It is notoriously difficult to win both home and away back to back games for a variety of reasons ... and we have two in a row as we play the Argos back to back when we are done with BC.

The Bombers have momentum and also, perhaps, a chip on their shoulder ... The D wants to vindicate themselves ... Matt Nichols wants to show he is for real ... and its time for Andrew Harris to be named player of the week

On the other hand Wally Buono must have a couple things up his sleeve .... the coordinators will also be busy scheming to shut down what the Blue did so well last week ... and the players are going to be some kind of extra nasty with something to prove!

Why is everyone so chicken of Lulay? 🐔

Guys played 25 games in the last 4 years, missed TC, hasn't had a chance to get familiar with the first team and is coming off an injury that will certainly hinder his mobility.

I must be in the minority but I would be way more nervous about Jennings having a bounce back game against us

Lulay is a smart QB who can read a defense. He’ll find the open guy. I expect him to give us more problems then Jennings but that being said I think we’ll still take this one. Our offence is just that good and we should get enough help on both sides of the line to give us that edge.

Scrambling is Lulay's strength. But he can't run anymore. He will be a sitting duck on the pocket waiting to get crushed.

My observation  is that when teams are in a QB controversy (from poor performance) it takes them a while  to start playing well .... the latest QB change may provide an initial spark but not a sustainable good performance all game ... in this instance Lulay is being rushed in and may not have confidence commensurate with his ability .... a couple of hard hits may make that confidence even worse  ... he may start hurrying his passes unnecessarily

I wouldn't put money on the Bombers winning, but it should be an interesting game.

Ginger-snaps will definitely be a problem for the Bombers and the defense is going to have to play even better than last game to win it.

Wally is still more of a coach than OShea, Lapo, and Hall combined, so I wouldn't count his team out.

Wally WAS a great coach. Not anymore.  I have no idea why he came back this year.

Lulay's biggest asset is not his scrambling nor his ability to read defences. Its Richie Hall's inability to adapt his defences.
