Grey Cup: Calgary vs Toronto

I'm looking forward to a good game. I think these teams are pretty evenly matched at this point but expect the Stamps to win it.

But why does the "B" side champion go directly to the Grey Cup?

No excuse for all the back-stabbing going on with the Stamps, but 3downnation is reporting that Bo-Levi played all year with shoulder and elbow problems in his right arm. Considering that, he didn't look bad apart from his decision making.

Everyone knew BLM had issues, he was not great for a lot of this season and the D in Calgary carried them through a lot of games.

For your side, pretty good. I would like to state for the record that all of the playoffs games were great drama if not great footyball.

That Kamar Jorden fumble was final payback for the 1971 Leon McQuay fumble.  Old-timers here will get the reference.

Poor Leo Cahill.

Loved it. Soon as I turned it on and saw it was snowing I knew it'd be a fun game. Came down to the final play, all you can ask of a Grey Cup. (well that and a Bomber win, but next year, next year is the year)

Even with the Jorden fumble... the ridiculous call to throw to the endzone instead of kick the field goal, and the subsequent garbage throw are far worse.  But it's easier to call out the young kid than the QB and coach and that's what makes it extra shitty.

Without the fumble and TD return there would be no reason to throw deep to the E.Z. into double coverage, Mitchell could have just knelt instead.

Been to the  last six my rankings for the week long events.

1. 105

2. 100

3. 103

4.  102

5. 101

6. 104

Without the defence allowing a 100 yard bomb to Posey, you could say the same.  Why do they get off the hook?

The point is that Jorden didn't cost them the game.  They lost as a team and still had the opportunity to tie it or win even after the fumble.  To put the loss on him alone (as McDaniel did) is garbage.

I think this statement speaks more of the garbage coaches between O'Shea / Ritchie as opposed to complimenting O'Shea...

Well, that's what I was essentially going for. After O'Shea, who's next, Doug Berry?

But I was also trying to point out that a seasoned coach doesn't become seasoned without experience, and failure is usually a part of that recipe.

Unless you're Bud Grant or Vince Lombardi, coaches are hired to be fired.
