He's still an asset.  The question is do you want to send Lemieux down safely or send Dano down and risk losing him?  Do you want Lemieux playing in the AHL or sitting in the pressbox in the NHL?  Do you care if Dano sits in the pressbox in the NHL?

It's an easy decision.

This is sad. Kym Camarta passed away in September. He was the  PA announcer of the Jets from 89-96. And for many of us he was THE voice of the Jets. Boooooming voice.

I think he means they should want to lose.  But sure, if the choice is 1) win the cup or 2) finish last.  But it doesnt really matter and every team wants to win.  But in Vegas' case I agree, they might not feel any great need to bring in a stop-gap because when everyone is healthy they would then have to do something with that stop gap.
