The speculation/rumor that was flying around was that Maurice and Chipman are very close friends and that Chevy did not want to give him an extension.

This seems like made up fan speculation to me. Chevy hired Maurice in the first place.

PITT vs EDM tonight.

Don't know who to cheer for. If Edmonton wins maybe the pens are on a bit of a skid and that bodes well for us when we play them.

But much more likely: the pens stomp the oilers without must resistance. Which is also okay by me because the cup parade is over that oilers fans and media have made up and shoved down everyone's throats.

Season is 10% over and the oilers already have over 20% of the regulation losses they had last year

What is up with Montreal.... the Als are a mess and now the Habs are equally a mess.    The management have made terrible decisions  ,  the players are checked out and apparently drugged out....   bad time to be a fan in Montreal.

Two words: Marc Bergevin.

The Arizona Coyotes are off the worst start by a NHL team in the expansion era: http://www.tsn.ca/coyotes-off-to-worst-start-in-post-original-six-era-1.897828

The Coyotes entered Thursday's game tied with the 2002-03 Atlanta Thrashers and the 2005-06 Pittsburgh Penguins for the worst start to a season since 1943. Now, the Coyotes will tie the 1943-44 Rangers' record of 11 consecutive losses to open a year if they fall to the New Jersey Devils on Saturday night.
