BBC World Service is reporting that, according to an unnamed FBI agent, they recovered "Top secret" documents relating to nuclear security

I recommend the FBI take custody of Trump family passports.

all the world despots with cash, that wanted something from America, that they could not normally get, saw a very easy mark when Trump was elected.

a poorly educated, arrogant, vain, stupid, greedy, lazy, know nothing sucker.

looks like they took full advantage. why not.

Trump probably would have escaped all this  if he would have just gone home, and shut his mouth after Biden won.

Murican powers that be do not like looking weak and foolish in front of the whole world.

CBS News reported that a group of House Republicans who were planning on taking the Justice Department to task on Friday have canceled the news conference. Rep. Michael Turner (R-Ohio), the ranking Republican on the House Intelligence Committee, held a news conference with a separate group:

Turner:  "Donald Trump has more classified information in his head than he does in his desk.” The classified material may not have been “truly classified,” and that it maybe even could have been something “you could find on your own phone.”

Rep. Chris Stewart (R-Utah):  "The information may have had something to do with aliens".

No point even setting the bar with these folks........

Trump Sends The Message To His Supporters To Target FBI Agents

Breitbart wrote (PoliticusUSA has redacted the names), “The inventory list of what was seized—or the receipt part of the document—is three pages long and constitutes two separate receipts, one that is two pages long and another that is one page long. Both receipts were signed by Trump’s attorney Christina Bobb and dated on Monday Aug. 8, 2022, at 6:19 p.m. The longer receipt was signed by FBI Special Agent XXXX, and the shorter receipt was signed by the name: “XXXX and includes the title SSA. It is unclear who that person is, and the handwriting is not the clearest.”

The message that Trump is sending to his supporters is clear. Trump is telling his domestic terrorists and insurrectionists that these are the people who did this to him, and he wants revenge.

Marjorie Taylor Greene Files Articles Of Impeachment Against Merrick Garland

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is now trying to protect Trump by filing articles of impeachment against Attorney General Merrick Garland.

Garland has an appointed position, not an elected one.
But of course MTG is far too stupid, to understand the difference.   But when it comes to grabbing attention with the stupidity........ she is pretty hard to beat.

homeland security report 2009.... withdrawn, after fox , Republican, led outrage. completely accurate report.

https://irp.fas.org/eprint/rightwing.pdf

short, worth a look.

"(U//FOUO) DHS/I&A assesses that rightwing extremists will attempt to recruit and radicalize returning veterans in order to exploit their skills and knowledge derived from military training and combat. These skills and knowledge have the potential to boost the capabilities of extremists—including lone wolves or small terrorist cells—to carry out violence. The willingness of a small percentage of military personnel to join extremist groups during the 1990s because they were disgruntled, disillusioned, or suffering from the psychological effects of war is being replicated today.
— (U) After Operation Desert Shield/Storm in 1990-1991, some returning military veterans—including Timothy McVeigh—joined or associated with rightwing extremist groups.
— (U) A prominent civil rights organization reported in 2006 that “large numbers of potentially violent neo-Nazis, skinheads, and other white supremacists are now learning the art of warfare in the [U.S.] armed forces.”
— (U//LES) The FBI noted in a 2008 report on the white supremacist movement that some returning military veterans from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have joined extremist groups."

report author now says:

Over the past decade, the threat of domestic, homegrown terrorism has far surpassed that of ISIS or al-Qaida sympathizers in the U.S., Johnson says. However, the intelligence and law enforcement communities overwhelmingly focus on foreign terrorism and sympathizers inside the country, he says.

“Here within, when we talk about white supremacists and anti-government extremists, there's very few analysts and agents working these issues,” he says. “And there just needs to be a balance of resources. Let the threat dictate the amount of resources and money that go into these programs.”

Over the past 20 years or so, the military in the US has not only tolerated but welcomed right-wing enlistees as it felt that the violence-prone tendencies of these these individuals lent itself to military life, and the open professions of evangelical beliefs among top officers helped that along. There are prayer circles and meetings there still. These groups profess that obedience to God (as revealed by their preachers) takes precedence over all other authorities. Since right-wing neo-Nazi philosophy is now merged with evangelical "Christianity", this weakens the entire command structure.

Michael Cohen Guesses That Jared Kushner Is The FBI Informant

Michael Cohen says Trump must be obsessed with finding the informant, and his guess is that it is Jared Kushner.

(and Cohen would know. Kushner was blamed by Trump for the election loss. Should make for some interesting family dinners)
