US Politics

Lets see if we can keep this thread a little more civil.

I found this interview very interesting.  A lot of soft balls thrown at Trump, he explained his back pedalling on his more extreme issues as a lot of his claims as opening bids for negotiation purposes.  Which .. whatever .. I still think that those are insincere claims he used to get elected.

He does now come across way more presidential then he did prior to the election.  A lot of his noise, yelling, and rhetoric has been scaled back.

Do respect this one though:

Quote

Lesley Stahl: Are you gonna take the salary, the president’s salary?

Donald Trump: Well, I’ve never commented on this, but the answer is no. I think I have to by law take $1, so I’ll take $1 a year. But it’s a -- I don’t even know what it is.

Donald Trump: Do you know what the salary is?

Lesley Stahl: $400,000 you’re giving up.

Donald Trump: No, I’m not gonna take the salary. I’m not taking it.

Any Trump collusion story you post can be be matched story for story that can refute it or at the very least provide healthy skepticism.

Because you don't like it or accept it doesn't make it a lie. If you want credibility or persuade people this is a poor way to go about it.

You're still missing the point.  You lied about the report.  That might work for your boy among the racists but it wont work here.  If you dont care to engage in real discussion, if you prefer to lie and shill and troll and bait, do everyone a favour and go somewhere else.

Mueller concluded the investigation. No collusion . No recommendations of charges of same.

One can either retain the faith they had in Mueller over the past 2 and half years or say he's corrupt and/ or been silenced.

Can't have both.

If it's the second option one chooses you can't just say it without evidence and proof.

That is the very definition of a conspiracy theory.

The only person who said no collusion was the AG. The fact that people who worked on the investigation are saying his summary was wrong should be giant clue #1.

Here is what the situation looks like to me: there was collusion between the Russians and the trump campaign but there was no smocking gun to tie it to the Russian government.

But hey let's see the report to check. The fact they are trying so hard to hide it screams guilt. Really seems Mueller wanted Congress to be the judges. He like America trusted the system but the system was broken by the Republican party being bad faith actors in it.

AG Barr should release the summaries that the Mueller report gave him and let's see how they jive with the 4 page summary that he floated, lets see if he honestly articulated the Mueller report or if he did what he was hired to do.

If it was dishonestly articulated why has Mueller said nothing ?

Again, if Mueller is corrupt or somehow being silenced then the #Resistance has to put its cards on the table as such.

It's the Washington Post and the NY Times again, citing 'sources familiar with the matter' whatever that means, think there was evidence of obstruction in the Mueller report. There never was any collusion with Russia so they have to turn the focus on obstruction now. It's just a sad political game the Democrats are playing.

Unnamed leakers to a receptive media hyping unspecified charges of obstructing an investigation into crime the very report they were working on said there was nothing to proceed on.

Blimey, talk about Plan C.

So you also don’t understand the investigation?  Either you don’t understand or you’re purposely pushing a narrative and info you know is wrong.

Like really. Lol. Insane.

These white nationalist trump worshipers don’t even know what mueller was doing.  They don’t understand what collusion means.  It’s hilarous.

Plus they are missing the key phrasing too. Russian government. As if the Russian government is the only thing. The Oligarchy has more power than the government.

We want 20 years of your tax returns

We want your fathers birth certificate

We want your high school grades

And anything else we can think of before the next election

Did I miss anything?

Seems like what the people want from Trump is a lot less than what he himself wanted to see from Obama or Hillary....

How many hours did Hillary sit in front of sham congressional hearings while Trump gets shielded from all that because they're perjury traps.... Maybe if the guy stopped acting like a wannabe mob boss people wouldn't be so interested in his dealings.

You mean everything everyone else provides? And yes if Bernie refuses to provide his tax returns he should be disqualified

Exactly. Hilary was the most investigated and vetted candidate in how long?   Look at Obama.  And trump hides his tax returns and buried an investigation.  It’s pretty obvious.

probably just exhausted walking up all those stairs. Perhaps they should install a ramp so he can drive a golf cart up instead.

More of the best are not deemed best anymore in the Trump administration, the Emperor says off to the firing range, I mean you fired.
