It's usually a good time. We drive to Stone Angel and park there for the game. Have a pint or two there, then walk to IGF and spend a good hour in the tailgate area. Lots of fun for sure. Getting excited.... Fly out later tonight and will be hitting the breweries tomorrow for some "pre celebrating"!

Walters is not going to Steeltown unless they fire Steinhauer.
That's true. However, having no vehicle, and no garbage pickup kind of makes that unavoidable. Like most areas of abject poverty garbage piles up due to lack of resources for getting rid of it.

No kidding. Easily the best DB in this league...just never gets the ball thrown his way because QBs avoid him like the plague because they can't complete a ball against him. How Nichols is not an allstar is just a joke.

Not only Kelly but I can put my blue and gold goggles aside and concede that Houston being a CFL all star is a joke when he’s arguably our fourth, or fifth best DB on our roster..

Looks like about 1700 tickets left for Saturday. Should be close to a sellout. The weather looks amazing.

My observation is not anectdotally based in any way. I told you Jr. membership is on the rise at my curling club, and from speaking to other curling club members that is the norm. What is anecdotal about that? Instead, you went full on stupid and asked me to provide receipts proving that. Like...yea...I'll go straight down to the club, call a meeting, and ask the treasurer for copies of the books because some guy on the internet can't stand to be wrong. Jeez Louise. You made a post condemning the future of curling in curling's bedrock province. Not sure why you thought that would play well, especially to all of us that know better but instead of admitting that maybe your gut feeling about it was wrong, and thanking someone for bringing accurate info on the matter, you go full on troll about it.

Was over at RIderfans and some guy was suggesting that Shawn Bane will be a top 3 receiver in this league this coming year.
I had a hunch about his production so I went and did a little deep dive of his numbers:
In the RIders 6 wins this season he averaged 49.5 yds a game, did not have a single 100 yard game, and was held to 40 yards or less in 4 of those wins.
In 12 losses this year he put up all 4 of his 100 yard games, averaged 72.3 yards per game.
Can anyone say garbage time production? Numbers and stats can be so very deceptive sometimes. The guy did nothing for them really until teams played ultra soft coverage in garbage time.

Rich Stubler was a top tier DC who failed as a HC and then after a change of scenery had a second act as a very effective DC.
Richie Hall was a top tier DC who failed as a HC and then after a change in scenery had a second act as a very effective DC.
ORlondo Steinauer was a top tier DC who has failed as a HC...

Thanks Rich. I appreciate the work you do to keep this going.
And congrats MOBomberFan. %82 is a crazy good number.

The only double standard is I don't usually call people out publicly. Many people you reference have probably at one time or another have had a post edited / deleted or given a warning.
A distilled definition of trolling is basically posting **** for the sole purpose of getting a reaction out of other people, and when they get that reaction, they complain about ad hominem attacks.
When you do get to the point of being a more blatant troll, then you will get the same warnings mentioned above. Until then, keep doing what you are doing, or don't. Up to you.
Cheers.

Listen here sonny boy, I am a board member at my local curling club, a former board member of the MCA, and membership is still very strong and junior membership have never been higher. You are talking out your ass on this one at least as far as Manitoba goes.

yeah....indigenous peoples are always close to nature and have a different slant on things....I think the cases that Brady focuses on are the neglected ones....pups and older dogs .....living under porches with little to eat and tied to abandoned fridges without proper shelter....Those types of scenarios tear the heart out of you if you're any kind of pooch lover....I hope Brady keeps it up

Grand Rapids is definitely the exception to that rule in the native community then. Dog attacks by stray dogs are a very real concern on pretty much every reserve I know of, or have lived. Band constables have dog days where they drive around shooting them for public safety. There is nearly no objection to it that I know of. I am sure a great deal of reserves would welcome these dogs being rescued.

yeah it's 10C here in Kelowna right now. Nothing like -2C in Winnipeg, especially when the sun goes down. Last year was pretty pretty freaking cold, and I hope it's even colder this year. VAJ will be running for the space heater after getting 2 and outs as fast as possible, kind of like Kevin Glenn in Calgary back in 2006...lol...

OK folks, have done my part to spur the Bombers on to victory. Just bought 2 tickets to the Jets game against Dallas. Never mess with a streak.
This will be my 4th double-header. The prior 3:
Oct. 19/91 - Bombers beat the Ti-Cats 68-14, Jets beat the Leafs 4-2.
Oct. 22, 2011 - Bombers beat the Alouettes 26-25, Jets beat the Hurricanes 5-3
Dec. 5, 2021 - Bombers beat the Roughriders 21-17, Jets beat the Leafs 6-3.
Perfect record so far.

I had to read that a few times. You hope the Bombers gets BC in the West Final and the Argos in the GC. Not, the Lions and Argos in the GC.
