  1. After watching him in the 2017 combine I really thought he would be a first or second round pick. He wasn’t even drafted and got signed by Edmonton and cut early then a short stint with Sask. I’m baffled as I figure he has all the tools, great north south runner with some moves, hits holes quickly and doesn’t dance, excellent blocker and real good pass catching skills out of the backfield. Always thought there may be something I missed maybe with attitude. Hope he works out well here.

  2. All the other arguments aside what’s swaying me to the players side of things , if true, was the promise made that he would be released after one year to pursue the NFL if the interest was there. Looks like that was done before Popp was hired so even though it is not on the new management I’ve always felt that honesty and integrity  go a lot further than being stuck on the written agreement.

  3. Interesting statement by Manziel’s agent. To me sounds like he’s looking for a Zach Collaros deal in the $500k/year range. End of January deadline too.  It’s gonna be intriguing to see what Hamilton does. Today Manziel holds value for the Ticats after Feb 1 sounds like he’ll be worthless unless they’re willing to ante up. If it were me I’d trade his rights to Montreal, they might be willing to part with some good assets/futures.

  4. With Davis and/or LeFevour behind Center it would be a good time to change up to a read react veer type offence. Untilize the skills these two bring. Both have issues in Lapos check down game, Davis takes to long to release and Fever hasn’t got a strong enough arm to whistle it when he see’s it. A change of pace might mess up the Stamps D. Only issue is the running back if Harris is not 100%. Don’t know who we throw in.

  5. Watching the Packers this afternoon  - they are always catching the other team with to many men, the wrong blitz pkge etc. Nichols ran the same successfully until the Labor Day Classic when the Riders used that bogus fake injury tactic. Seems like we have gotten completely away from it in the last four games, wondering why? The fake injury tactic should be easy to get around and wouldn't the refs start calling delay of game with an overuse?

I doubt he sees the field even for special teams.

Someone's got to take Feoli-Guidino's spot on the teams and Wolitarsky has had some experience in college, and since Coates is Medlocks holder I can't see us expanding his role.

    Yeah, saw that too.

Didn't realize that Loffler was injured.  That sucks but hopefully the O'Shea's talk about Derek Jones being a starter isn't for nothing.

Rewatched the Esks game last night, Loffler seemed to be favouring his shoulder after a hit late in that game. While he stayed in his right arm was visibly hanging at his side. Might just be speculation but it looked separated to me.
