Just cannot handle watching this game with Smith and Suitor , even though it's close and should be exciting they just miss so many things and go way off the game action into some really mundane conversations. Last game with Luke Willson doing the color I watched right to the end even though Hamilton had it in the bag by the end of the 3rd quarter.

I agree totally when our defence plays a bit nasty we get lots better results. Jones did that in the Montreal game and really threw Alexander off his game, and this game with him and Kramdi disrupting it put Harris off his game too, you could see little things like timing of throws and just being off target enough at the right time. Don't have to play dirty to injure or anything, but being a wee bit chippy sure doesn't hurt.

Betts is doing what Jones did to Alexander, getting under his skin, throwing him off his game., luv it!

Sounds like it will be one of those nasty weather games tonight, luv it! If our lines dominate like last week this could be a great game for the blue

Excellent analysis! I really don't know what happened with Clercius last year but he has exceptionally strong hands, boxes out very well and this allows him to make those tough contested catches. He also downfield blocks very well. Daniels last night also impressed me , made some good key blocks and the catch and run he had was just what we need more of. Tony Jones used correctly like last night is a weapon. He got into Alexanders face quite often and the trash talk I'm sure added to the QB's whiney reactions and probably threw him off of his game a bit.

I think somebody said earlier they were worried about a 50 burger, who thought the Bombers might being the ones putting it up!

Yep this game has a different feel than last week, finished drives, decent d, good special teams, no more mistakes tho.

Emilus went down again last game , didn't look good possibly long term and with Schaefer-Baker out long term this might prove to be a good move by them. Harris seems to like these tall receivers. Wish we had picked him up and at least gave him a chance.

For as many years as he played with so little talent in the CFL, he sure did a heck of a sell job on somebody. Sales = number 1 criteria for a great manager.

Probably the one of the most important reasons the Elks are leading the West this year after 5 years near or at the bottom. He's got that fire all great competitors need too as showcased last week when his coach decided to go for the field goal inside the 35, Faj certainly showed his displeasure.

At this point we should at least be talking to Lewis, even if he is not the player he used to be he would add something the current receiving core is lacking , so sign him if at all possible even if it might be a slight overpay. Who knows he may revive his career and be a great 3rd option for a couple more years.

Wilson has always been a very good short yardage QB. Crum is good too but might be a good idea to keep him healthy and out of those scrums when there is someone like Wilson on the roster.

Ya sending Brady out wide so much makes no sense. He's excellent at recognizing and picking up the blitz and is much more effective a receiver when he leaks out of the backfield. Wasting a major talent out there.

I like the match up though if we can get Brady going early as the run game seems to be a little weakness for that D. I also like having Dru as he can move the pocket and gets the ball away early. If he can get in sync with his recievers (they were way off in the Ottawa game) and is able to get a little time for his check downs I think we have a good chance against this Stamps D. Dedrick Mills and Adams running ability worry me more as that in the early going has been our D's achilles heel. Then it creates openings for the big plays.
