  1. I haven't got to see a game at IGF yet since I live in Edmonton, but I've made it to one day of training camp both years at IGF. The day I was there this year I was sitting right in front of the media group. The entire time they talked about photo radar tickets, they weren't watching training camp or talking about anything relevant in any way. When Gary Lawless showed up halfway through the day I moved on because it's bad enough when I have to listen to him talk about anything on TSN.
  2. That only works if the top 6 teams in the league are the 5 west teams and the top east team. So if you assume that there aren't any weak teams in the west then I can agree with it, but I don't buy the premise that every west team will prove to be better than the bottom 3 east teams which is why I didn't bother to include it in my original question. For your scenario all it takes is one weak team in the west and then Calgary plays 6 weak east games and 2 weak west games for a total of 8 games against "bad" teams Toronto then would have 6 against "bad" east teams and 2 against the "bad" west team for the identical total of 8 games against "bad" teams.
  3. I see this quite often on here, and honestly don't understand it in a 9 team format, can you or someone else explain why you think this will be relevant to overall record? 5 West teams play 2 games against each east team (8) and remainder (10) against west 4 East teams play 2 games against each west team (10) and remainder (8) against east So a west team plays 10 against west and 8 against east And a east team has 10 against west and 8 against east
  4. I don't have kids, want kids or even really like kids, and with that said, your ignorance is absolutely astounding. Well that is a bit rude calling it ignorant. Do you feel the same way when everyone says the same thing? or just me? Cause I think it's safe to say everyone in professional sports feels the same way. The kid was born last week not yesterday. If anyone else said it my reaction would have been identical, it was early enough in the thread I didn't realize you had intellectual shortcomings yet. And for the record what I found most ignorant wasn't saying he should miss the game, it was about having his kid outside of football season. There are so many situations where that just isn't practical or possible. So I felt my original phrasing if anything was nicer than you deserved.

  6. NFL Team A says to CFL Team B we would like to sign player C, we will give you $X if you release player C. Without waivers player C is now a free agent and signs with NFL team A instead of being able to be picked up on waivers by another CFL team. At least this is what I can gather from the idea, but don't know the CFL waiver process from the old CBA since teams seemed to release guys to try the NFL before without them having to clear waivers.
  7. To be fair that wasn't just a win. When was the last time you saw the bombers play that complete of a game and take it to another team basically start to finish. I think the reaction wouldn't be the same if we'd won 24-21. I think the reaction in this case is driven more by how they won than the fact they won.
