If the Bombers can win their seasonal series against the Stamps, Esks. and Lions anything is possible.  Until they can do that consistently they're middle of the pack contenders imo.  Key is Nichols stepping up into the elite QB category with improved red-zone performance and 2 or 3 dangerous receivers so that Medlock doesn't have to set scoring records to salvage victories.  Other improvements have to come from Hall's pass defence so that they're not giving up miles of uncontested real-estate.

Nichols doesn't need to be elite, he needs to prove that he can maintain the efficiency that he displayed during our 7 game win streak over a full season. I don't think we want to ask him to produce more than that.

Our D does need to take the next step though. We've remade the DLine again. They have to pressure opposing QBs and not let teams run up and down the field on us.

    TSN depth chart...

Don't see Adams as a SB...  think we can already pencil in one of Duncan and Sheppard DI REC

Rush should probably start practicing long snapping.

Some weaknesses with NI depth but still so much better than the last ten years...

I'm leaning more and more to Bladek first overall as the safe pick and maybe move Bond over to RT next season.

We definitely can't stop drafting lineman yet.

still wouldnt be as one sided as the willy trade

you might wanna skip the cfl draft then, picks made were on twitter n junk like 5minutes before they were made.  Its soo long and drawn out too.  I like drafts, but I think they would all be improved if they were sped up like 400%.

I don't know. I drank a few beers and was pretty entertained throughout the night.

My buddy has the last row of the first section and loves it. He's also right on the aisle and can get to the WC quickly. I sometimes wonder if that would be better but I don't really want to move.

I used to be in the last row of the endzone and loved standing for lots of the game.

The first row certainly has it's limitations. Reduced leg room and obstructed view with the safety bar. My son moves around to see everything.

Last row of the lower bowl near the aisle are the best seats.

Sholo was one of our big acquisitions last year. A starting Canuck coming off of a great season. Our D line was supposed to be fixed with him and Cummings who was also coming off a great year. 20-20 hindsight says that it didn't work out very well. IMO it's our defensive scheme. In others opinions it's the players that we got rid of's fault. Thomas is now our 7th starting NI. IMO he's a downgrade on Sholo/Thomas.

Some NI has to take Sholo's % of snaps. Simply taking those snaps doesn't equal an improved DL, unless they can do as well as Sholo did last year, even factoring in Okp.

We definitely agree on the scheme. Hopefully there are going to be some changes made in that regard to be more effective.

Oka replacing Sholo is an import replacing a starting non-import, which in turn weakens our starting NI's.

I guess that depends on how effective you feel Sholo was last year.

if our new rotation of NI DTs is equal to Sholo's % of snaps last season, our line has improved (assuming Oka improves on Green and Coles performances at DE).

I'm not ignoring the upgrade at DE. I'm simply saying it comes as the cost of losing a starting Canadian DT.

We've basically moved the low salary spot on the D line from the DE spot to the DT spot. IF we draft a DT #1 overall and they don't get an NFL shot so they aren't lost for the year and they end up being the rare rookie who can start right away and they are somehow better than Sholo, they will still be more expensive than Cole was last year adding to our SMS issues.

Again, I know it's not the same position, but Oka is replacing Shologan. Thomas/Draft pick doesn't need to be better than Shol. The combo of Oka and DT need to be better than the combo of the rotating DE spot last year and Shol.

youre exactly right they moved the low salary spot over one. I think the team is excited about having an impact player at DE rather than whatever Sholo and Cummings were being last season.
