Ottawa looks good on paper but... Burris is OLD and really he's the big question mark, which Burris will show up.

Looks like a pretty solid prospect there. Glad they have recognized LB as an area of concern. i'd be fine trading Greaves, I think with Chungh, Goossen and Everett who i think will surprise some people, he's mean, he's nasty, he fits for sure, he might very well make greaves expendable. People talk about moving Neufeld, yup i would too but, injury history and people around the league knowing that, don't think he's tradeable really until he can stay healthy.. worst case scenario IMO, you cut neufeld at or b4 camp, "failed his physical or something" released due to failing his physical.. However i do think Neufeld when healthy is better than Greaves so really... what can you do. Honestly tho the OLINE has sucked for years, Greaves has been here a while, is he the best guard in the league? nope? top 5? probably not, would he start on every team in the league? nope, 1 or 2? maybe... Not sure what his value is really. But if he got back a 1st round pick or a starting Canadian like Westerman from BC or maybe even a prospect like Demski and a 3rd from SASk... yeah i'd make that trade and twice on sunday.

They brought Yantz in last year and he didn't look out of place as a QB. I think he might surprise some people.

Pav was actually one of the best goalies at the tournament. His numbers were very good. What this tourney shows tho is goalies can't win games on their own. Pav was outstanding against Canada but Czech team couldn't score. Helle was good against Russia but the USA couldn't score.

Doubt they got to Vegas when that guy there is willing to spend money on expansion, Seattle is possible if an arena deal gets worked out, i suppose they could play out of key arena or whatever its called for a year or 2 or 3. This needs to end soon and i think it will, i've also read some interesting reports saying the coyotes might move to Phoenix actually, yeah it sounds crazy but... apparently the suns are building a new arena or something and the owner of that arena wants a tennant there, Sounds crazy but you could very well see the Glendale Coyotes move to Phoenix. Doubtful but it wouldn't surprise me one bit, NHL wants to make arizona work and they will do whatever it takes to make it work.

I agree about Washington, I think i'd put Bruce Johnson in there but would that be a real surprise? Kind half lost his spot last year too... the only other guys i could think of are what i'd call not really surprises, Richardson,Fitzgerald,West, Peach maybe. Maybe depending on how Yantz looks, Marve or Portis but really, would that be surprising? Maybe Bucknor depending on how Jones and Morgan look, Don't think so but.. you never know, The guy probably is being paid like a starting canadian so i mean, if jones take his job and morgan looks competent as the backup or if we decide to go all american in the secondary, would they keep around a backup db getting paid probably more than 100,000? From what i've seen, the younger MIKE, from a few years ago even, maybe he was a guy that would constantly look for praise and pats on the back, The current today MIKE tho, not so much i don't think and i'll be honest, Mike was quite annoying a few years ago. I'm gonna say i'm not surprised. The reality is with Jaffray is he had his NHL chance but didn't do much with it or maybe was never given a fair chance but he's at that age now where his spot needs to go to younger guys who have a shot at the big leagues. Would it have been nice to see him on the MOOSE? probably but... i'm betting most the guys on the moose will be youngsters. Everyone talks about a few vets being brought in, well, I'm not sure about that. Maybe a couple but... i'm willing to bet the moose will mostly be Jets draft picks. Got a ton of them coming, gotta make room for them.

Sammy looks impressive for sure. Slammin' Sammy. Sometimes in the NFL, younger cheaper guys come in and take your spot. Not sure why he isn't in the NFL but really, NFL lets a lot of pretty good football players slip through their fingers at times. I know it's not the same but... i think theres a few guys in the CFL who could easily be playing in the NFL if given the chance. This guy was given a chance and stuck around for a bit. He looks impressive for sure but so do lots of guys that walters and crew have brought in this off-season. Comparing this off-season to last, I'd say they have done a 100 percent better job.

I'll just say i'd take none of the RFA's because i wouldn't be willing to give up multiple years of first round picks (tarasenko would be the guy there for sure) but... i wouldn't even bother. No point really. UFA's? Just our own, Sounds like Frolik isn't coming back so stafford and stempniak would be fine with me and then promote from with in. RFA? just chiarot really and that's about it. No need to make contract offers to RFA's, they 1. probably won't accept them and 2. if they do, it will be matched and 3. if it's not matched, you just lose way too much. Jets aren't at that point where they can afford to be giving up multiple first round picks. I guess when was the last time a player was offer sheeted and the team he played on let him go. It just doesn't happen. 2 example i can think of are weber and o'reilly and both times, nashville and colorado matched them. But then you have a dustin penner like player with the oilers, ducks let him go, Oilers probably wishing they didn't cuz he was a huge bust for them.

Not all sask born players go home to play for sask. It's a myth. Name like 4 of them besides Labatte which was more than just playing for sask who have. Getzlaf? Traded. Bagg? Nope. Seriously it's a huge myth
