His name has been out there, so since he does have a NMC which is pretty irrelevant really, it means he's either been asked by the Jets or he's asked the Jets to trade him. His name is out there, was linked to Pittsburgh a while back actually, and that was confirmed. They went another route but his name is out there. I think going to an Eastern Conference team would be best for Toby also. I don't think he gets you a first round pick back but he probably gets you a 2nd and a pretty good prospect (probably a d prospect at that) Why isn't Myers being traded? If they sign, or when they sign Trouba, you are gonna need him to play behind Buff as the 2 RHD... making Myers expendable, Myers has a nice cap friendly contract, which to the Jets who aren't going to be spending to the cap is irrelevant but to some teams, that's a gold mine right there. I've always been under the impression that you trade from positions of strength to upgrade positions of weakness, right now, this teams strength is it's RHD side. Buff is signed, he going nowhere. Trouba is their draft pick from what 4 years ago? who just turned what? 22 today? They ain't gonna trade him, not a chance. Myers by process of elimination is that guy. Hamonic would be nice but, quite frankly, we don't really need him, he's another RHD guy so at best, that's a lateral move. Myers is the guy and Myers probably does bring you a first plus more.

Game 61 : Jets @ Penguins of Madagascar

Dano is more comfortable playing RW so you'd want him to be as comfortable as possible wouldn't you? He's at his best on the right side. Enstrom won't be around for another year, never mind more after his current deal expires. He's going to be traded. If he is on this team next year, I'd be surprised. Heres the deal, Why keep stafford around? he's not part of the future, when he's not scoring, he's doing nothing, he brings his entire line down. You look at the Jets LW and RW depth now... where does stafford fit? Like it or not, the Jets are going with the youth, but they do have some vets in there, they gave this veteran group of players 5 almost 6 years to see what they can do and what they got was eliminated in 4 playoff games then regressed huge time this season. Not all of that is on the veterans obviously since Buff and Wheeler are having a great year individually. You can pretty much pencil Connor in next year LW Ehlers, Connor,Perreault <-- no particular order RW Wheeler,Armia,Dano <-- no particular order again Where does Stafford fit? He doesn't. If somebody has interest in him, get what you can for him and move on. -
Maatta has injury concerns, Trouba IMO is better than Maatta actually, Troubas fancy stats are very good, you take trouba away from that anchor mark stuart and he's putting up way better numbers. I think they will go long term on trouba and i think he will get around 5.5 a year. And i think that's a fair deal, I also think Myers will be traded and I think Enstrom will be moved also, Myers is more of a draft deal, possibly for Hamonic and Enstrom could be moved by monday or near the draft. I don't see the Jets keeping them. Enstrom makes way 2 much money for what he brings and there is some talk that he has asked to be traded.

Yeah those articles are Off on lots of things. Connor is a LW. Dano can play center but he prefers to play RW

Both ways i think. We didn't want them, Chicago might not have either but maybe without taking them, we don't retain on ladd. I think what? we retained about 630,000 on Ladd, that's basically what Harrison and fraser were being paid to play in the A. Harrison was on a one way contract so he's getting his NHL salary, Fraser was on a 2 way. Basically the money the Jets retained is what they were paying Harrison and Fraser cuz it's an odd amount to retain on. Harrison also adds some veteran depth on the blue line for the hawks.

It's also called NIEMI sucked in the first period. Hutch was good. That's the difference. Jets kids played really well and stepped up.
-
The Head coach has final say on everything, that's not even up for debate. That's why he's paid the big bucks.
-
I doubt your PK is set up differently depending on who your goalie is. So, what you are saying is if Hutch is playing, they play the PK differently? If PAV is playing they play it differently? Nope, sorry. It's the same PK, same system. I mean, just watch the games and you will see they play the PK the same way regardless of who is in net. The only difference the goalie makes on the PK is he either makes the save or he doesn't.

If Jets don't pick 1st, I hope CBJ does.

Ladd didn't leave the Jets to sign with another bottom feeder, he will sign somewhere. Some talk on other sites is his house is up for sale already... but regardless, he was a good captain for the 6 years he was here but.. It's time to move on. I'd put his chances signing back here at less than 2 percent. Bottom line... If they could have signed him, they would have. If he actually wanted to be here, he would have taken less money or less term to be here. What do you expect Ladd to say exactly?
-
He did play on the PP. He set up our 1 shot lol.
-
Am I the only person who hopes that Chicago is eliminated in tge first round so our pick is better.
-
Probably a 2nd.
-
He was on the ice. Enstroms Name is out there. Don't be surprised if he's moved
-
Doubt it all you want. Its what he does. Brad Marchand isn't big... is a winger. He does it. Get over the size thing.
-
Burmi kills penalties and actually can't believe I'm going to say this cuz Burmi has been awful but tge last 5 games or so he's been much better.
-
Nope. Dano is a guy who will stand in front of the net and take his shots.

Stafford is not good. He should not be in our top 6 ever again -
Stafford is gone next trade deadline at the latest. He's basically not really needed anymore even. If someone wants him this trade deadline.... I'm moving him. Cuz youth movement I'd coming. Stafford isn't part of our future

Ehlers Scheif Wheeler Dano Perreault Armia Burmi Lowry Stafford Halischuk Copp Thorburn Probably our best possible roster. Dano should play with skilled guys -
We have buff Wheeler. Size and grit is over rated. Chicago isn't huge. Neither are Dallas. It's how you play that matters. Edmonton ignored D. And have players who all play the same. They are skilled O players with no D ability. Jets players are all pretty responsible defensively well the kids are... Scheif Armia even ehlers all play pretty good in their own zone. Oilers players don't. Dano is solid defensively also. Dano has top 6 potential for sure. At worst he's a 40 point strong defensive 3rd line winger. His ceiling is Marian Hossa
-
Maurice. He's the coach. It's his system. Assistants have a say in somethings. Let's just use Flaherty as an example. He would probably tell Maurice who he thinks should play goal thus particular game. Maurice could take that advice or not. The pp tho. I think part of it is we lack that elite high end talent. Dallas has Benn and Seguin. Wash has Ovi. We don't have players of that nature. Our guys like to pass it around all day and never shoot. Thats on the players
-
Yup and you know they will flip stafford eventually maybe sooner rather than later and wouldn't be surprised if myers is moved also.
-
Nah. I think that was the best offer they got. Dano is an A + prospect.

We be tankin' it (official tanking thread) ...

What it costs to buy him out is irrelevant. The jets aren't a cap team and won't be for a few years still. Listen to Dreger. Jets aren't a cap team. Buying out Pav is good because it gets him off the team Nobody will trade for him cuz he sucks.
