The problem in todays world, is we all have social media like twitter and facebook where you get the people on there who spread BS about things, like this mcknight shooting, i was pretty convinced when i read that a witness said gasser stood over him and told him " i told you not to eff with me". Turns out it was BS but so many people on twitter were saying it and convinced it was true, it was hard not to believe, turns out that was a load of crap and just people making stuff up, I don't want to get in to the race issues at all but... it was made up by a person of color. Was i surprised when i discovered that? Not really unfortunately. Because unfortunately on social media, when you have these shootings and the victim is a person of color, unfortunately what happens is people make it about the color of the skin. It's not about that even, it's about guns, it's about standing your ground, it's about just stupidity really. Joe McKnight is dead because people are allowed to carry guns and shoot people multiple times for no real reason, because they feel "THREATENED". yup, and i'm not saying McKnight is completely innocent in all this, he's more than likely not, if he just ignored it all and drove away or whatever, didn't get out of his car, it wouldn't have happened. He'd be alive still. But.. social media, the whole point here, it's a problem, You have people on there from New York or far away from where the incident happened acting like they were there in New Orleans or whatever little hick town it happened in and pretty much spewing BS and a whole bunch of hate about something that really, they had no clue about.

For example???
-
I get that but how is him playing with Burmi and Thor, who are awful at pretty much everything helping him? It doesn't.

Islander fans aren't big fans of that signing at all. Good value but 5 years seems a little long.

Nah man, the team lost. Hutch will play Edmonton tho as Helle seems to struggle against them. -

Well, Stafford does suck but he sucks less at RW, it's his preferred side, Mo has him playing LW tho so yeah he's struggling, it's really not about what side he plays tho, it's his lack of effort, he's a floater, irrelevant what side he is on. But Ducky, stafford did take a penalty, in the O zone at that... 100 plus feet away from Hutch... We have seen it many many times in the past also, dumb penalties, avoidable penalties really, LAZY penalties really at the worst time possible. It's a problem and something that has happened over and over and over and over and over and over during Maurices tenure with the Jets. Hutch was very good and will definitely play, my guess? against Edmonton. -
3-Year Contract Extensions For Walters and OShea
Goalie replied to JCon's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I get this feeling that Hall won't be back... I think you will see a change there, I think Steinhauer if he doesn't go to Toronto is a possible. I also think Thorpe is a possibility but he might end up in Edmonton when they can Benevides. -
I would think that is a very real possibility. Maurice saddled Ehlers last year with Thorburn also and he did pretty much nothing at all playing next to Thorburn, I don't get putting these offensive skill players with guys like Thor or Stafford for that matter who just totally drag down any line they are a part of.

Kind of a pointless comment don't you think??? But hey, message board fans know it all, for sure, we are the experts, let's just ignore what the players think.... -
He was also never really given the chance to play with anybody with any sort of skill tho, he was saddled on the 4th line with stars like Burmi and Thor, when he played pre-season and i know it's just pre-season but he played with Scheif and Wheeler and looked good. Regardless, it's the right decision to send him down cuz he needs to play.
-
How could you send him back after training camp after he looked as good as he did? You couldn't. Bottom Line, the guy was improving when he was playing, his D game was coming along, for some reason, Maurice decided not to play him anymore... Mark Scheifele in his first year with the Jets played a few games and was then sent back to Junior, Connor can't be sent to junior cuz he's from the NCAA... The Moose will be good for him, he needs to play. That's what this is all about, instead of watching or playing 4 minutes a game cuz MAURICE loves his struggling veterans, he will get to play 15 20 minutes a game with the Moose and develop his game even more and grow in to his body.

This is great news in my opinion and in the opinion of those that actually matter as a bunch of players have been saying it's a damn good thing. Some times, you need to just step back and not overthink these things, the players love playing for Oshea, that's quite apparent and the bottom line, in todays sporting world, you need a coach that players love to play for. The days of wooping ass and taking names in public is over, those coaches don't last anymore. Great news. Stability is the most important thing for sure. You look at every successful organization in the sporting world and what they have... stability at the top of the organization. Teams that change GM'S and Coaches every couple years, well, they are the ones who struggle the most. -
He reminds me of Mark Scheifele his first year with the Jets, the talent is there, the skill is there, the work ethic is there... the body just isn't there yet. It's the right move for sure and long overdue, needs to play to develop. Now hopefully him and Roslovic play together and develop some more of that chemistry they had during rookie camp.

At the very least it's time to send a message and Bench him next game. -
Kaner lol and to a lesser extent Bogo aren't exactly what you'd call high character guys with hockey smarts. Jets would have taken Pietrangelo over Bogo for sure and probably B Schenn over Kane. Easily in my opinion. Character and hockey iq matters lots to the Jets in their drafting history

It's unfortunately the same problems in every loss. Poor PP. Bottom 10. Poor PK. Bottom 10. Struggling veteran favoritism. Same stupid penalties. Eventually you have to look past the players and look at the coach. It's becoming quite apparent that Paul Maurice Is not the answer. We are a fast and skilled team just like new York but we don't play like we are. That's on coaching -

Stafford floated all night long. Did nothing but cost his team a point at least by taking a very stupid penalty. Connor sits while stafford does **** all -
America is 1 complicated large country. What comes with large populated countries is problems, Yeah, it seems most are self induced problems like this ridiculous stand your ground stuff or whatever similar laws they have to it. Honestly, anyone remember that Simpsons episode? Chief Wiggum looking through the town charter for some odd reason, perhaps it was the mono rail episode (think it was) but.. he's looking through it and comes across something and it says something similar to like the chief of police is owed some sort of pie or something on the last friday of the month? I've never actually read the second amendment because I'M CANADIAN and don't really care.... but i'd suspect if you actually read it, a lot of the stuff said there, fine print etc, well, it doesn't really apply to 2016... It applies more to the time it was well, basically when America was born, which was many many hundreds of years ago now... different time and culture back then, but that's America for you really... What can you do really, you can't do much... They like to pretend they follow their little declaration of indepedence and these rights that they have but in reality, none of them really make much sense to the year 2016. I watch CNN and yeah CANADA has it's share of problems also, but damn, every time i watch CNN, it just makes me a little more proud to be Canadian.

Game 29 : Little Caesars @ Santa Lucia

In reality, I think MP's struggles are more due to the fact that he's a better winger than a center and they wanted him to be a center to start the year and now he's back on the wing, where he is much better, i also think he's an ok top 6 guy, he's not a guy you ideally want in your top 6 tho,( like Armia really) He's more suited to a checking line type of role, hard on the puck, good defensively, really good forechecker, ideally? 3rd line actually. Perreault Lowry Armia 3rd line? Sign me up. That would be a very very good checking line. -
Also Tge RCAF logo is basically a blue circle with a large red actual maple leaf inside of said circle Jets logo has a similar blue circle but had the true north compass thing plus a sort of modern maple leaf with a Jet over top. It's certainly not the same
-
Nevada Knights would be my choice. Difference between the Jets and the RCAF and this one? Jets got permission. Also got permission from the leafs also to use the well maple leaf. Vegas didn't get permission

Does Montreal have the 2 pucks required. Perhaps reuniting him with some Russian players like Radulov Emelin etc helps? I dunno -

Some talk Montreal has interest in Burmi Laine Scheif Ehlers Connor Little wheeler Perreault Lowry Stafford (if he has to play play him on his proper side) Tanev Copp Dano. But Maurice over thinks things Thorburn over Copp and Connor is an absolute joke -
Same can be said about bogo. Maybe Pietrangelo is taken instead or Burmi and either Schwartz or Tarasenko instead. Jets have some pretty interesting prospects drafted later... guys like Eric Foley Sami Niku Tucker Poolman CJ Franklin even. Quite a few more but those stand out
