  1. If they play like they did today both pav and helle could be in net and we will still lose
  2. I don't want to be a broken record but.. coaching is a huge problem. Anyone hear Maurice's pre game comments? He expected a grinding type of game in other words we are going to play the style of hockey Colorado plays instead of playing our style of speed and skill. We have a tendency to play down to our opponents level and play their game instead of making them play to our strengths. This isn't the first time this has happened this season either. Not blaming Pav but 851 save percentage ain't gonna get it done
  3. Yes the Jets are the great Pretenders
  4. When the whole team plays like crap... it's on coaching
  5. He doesn't have to cuz he has better positioning in the net. It's just how it is. Devan Dubnyk doesn't make acrobatic saves either
  6. Pav relies on acrobatic saves because his positioning is awful. It's what he is. Same goalie he's been his entire career. This game isn't on pavelec tho . This is on the entire team being high. 3 plus goals in 12 straight... our team D is awful. Why aren't we playing our style of game. Using our speed and skill. We are not this grinding team who is playing down to Colorado level.
  7. Pav super slow to react to that last one. Bad bounce but that's 2 bad goals today against. This game is pavelec. Makes the spectacular save but Is so out of position and slow to react to others
  8. Wow. There's his no business stopping that save.
  9. Looks like Maurice may have ripped in to them during intermission. Lots more jump this period so far
  10. I asked Ken wiebe about it in a DM on twitter. Here's his response Good evening I don't know the family issue but I assume it's serious. Secondly, while I agree it's taking a long time to recover, I don't see this as a cover up. Hip surgery Myers had was serious and I don't have a hard time envisioning a scenario where a player overcompensates for his hip and hurts or tears his groin. Jets have been a bit too secretive for my liking but when Maurice finally relented to my questions and said it was a soft-tissue issue, I immediately thought it was his groin - though I'm not a doctor and I don't have confirmation. I will continue to press for information on injury but my understanding is that it's not career threatening, though it is progressing slower than the Jets and probably Myers anticipated. Something that seems to be overblown in my opinion is the brief skate he took in Tampa. I was there and this was not a strenuous workout, he was on the ice and not doing much other than seeing how injury would respond, he did no drills and was working with jets strength coach. So those who interpreted that as him being close to a return were not close to accurate, he would have needed a week or two of conditioning barring any setbacks and obviously he had one, since Maurice said today the healing of the injury is not progressing. Will continue to monitor the situation and when I get more info, I will obviously share that info. Enjoy your weekend.
  11. Jets look high on that legal Marijuana
  12. Looking like the great playoff pretenders so far
  13. LHD RHD whatever. He's still better than stu melchiori and Chiarot
  14. This so far is exactly what I feared would happen. Avs dominating us so far. Couple posts for Colorado also
  15. It's a soft tissue issue. That's all Maurice has said. Could be nerve damage
  16. Frankie Corrado on waivers. LHD. Probably an upgrade on stuchiamelchi
  17. I don't think they have.
  18. Below average and worse numbers than Helle
  19. They might temporarily but it only seats like 13 000 now so doubt it's an option actually http://www.billboard.com/articles/business/7461661/inside-nassau-coliseum-renovation
  20. It sounds like Myers is done anyways. He doesn't have a NMC so if need be you expose him... Vegas takes him? Sweet cap relief. If not... LTIR or buyout are options. I'm not sure Vegas would take an injured player.
  21. Why not expose him to Vegas. Go 7 3 1 then. It's a business and exposing a player who could be seriously injured Is best for business. Vegas wont take him. Them you have to decide what's better... buy out or LTIR... really not much difference there
  22. It's a possibility. Lots of options for them. Apparently long island where they played b4 is possible also
  23. So you want to protect him in the expansion draft eventho there's a probably good chance he's done as a nhl player?
