Personally, I wanted to see Marve in the 4th quarter... not because I think he's the better QB or should be the starter... but it was plainly obvious to anywhere there that the offense, as a whole, was not getting it done... our only hope was that Marve could use his mobility to try and conjure up some miracle plays... maybe open up the running game too... which was mysteriously abandoned... also, IMO, Willy had ample time to throw on most of the sacks...

IMO our o-line looked better this year with Greaves-Morley-Goossen/Neufeld in the middle than any scenario that had 3 imports... Ideally you get a starting Canadian o-lineman with the 2nd overall pick... but a starting Canadian anywhere is an upgrade for us right now...

2014 situation without the trade: No Hall, No Neufeld, 2nd rounder, 1 4th rounder in 2015 2014 situation with the trade: No Hall, Neufeld, no 3rd round pick (cuz we traded up to get a 2nd), 2 4th rounders in 2015 Not much difference except that with the trade we have a potential Cdn O-lineman that's ONLY 26 years old... to write him off already is just ridiculous... if these injury concerns continue next year... and there's still no plan to replace him... then there's some concern about Neufeld's future... still has nothing to do with the trade.. Also... anyone who doesn't realize the CFL draft is a crap-shoot after the first few picks hasn't been paying close enough attention...

I think Bauming tweeted something to that effect recently too... That would be nice to see for the final game...

Love the optimism.... yeah it's a stretch... but this post is a nice change from the usual negativity and pessimism...

2015 TC - this plus a new draft pick or two and maybe a NI FA if we're lucky... and Howard, Jones, and Knapp can be added to the gone list... Swiston can come back too... I guess he's stuck around this long for a reason...

Consider that with Reilly EE already have the QB mobility that we witnessed for the first time tonight. This makes the O-lines job easier and the attacking D's job harder. Reilly isn't running for his life or getting hit like he was last season, so what the difference between this and last season in Edmonton ? Consequences?

IMO we have very few untouchable players. I would say maybe these guys... I don't mean everybody else should be gone... I just mean that everyone else definitely needs to be playing for their job the next few weeks...

Kromah had the chance to take his job and couldn't do it. Kromah was leaps and bounds better than Kuale. Kromah was better based on the fact that he wasn't taking stupid penalties and constantly drawing attention to himself by celebrating mediocre plays... but based on actual football play, IMO he had yet to distinguish himself... hopefully that changes on Monday...

Obviously Lawless is right here.... but is he realistic? of course not... I have a great idea... the Bombers need to sign Heenan, trade January, Grigsby, and Cotton to Calgary for Cornish and Brett Jones, then ship off Aaron Kelly and JFG to BC for Arseneaux and their 1st round pick.... badda-bing the offence is fixed! That play is really hard to watch... especially on the slo-mo replay when you can clearly see EJ throw his helmet right in Buck's face... nice play by Buck though to get the ball down field... Darren Cameron?
