I was once told by a very wise coach that when leaving an organization it's best to leave in a good frame of mind....Burning bridges do not do a thing except disconnect you from the great things that happened for you....Thinking back, there are a few players that have said things that they wish they never uttered....Deiter Brock was one that comes to mind when he 'slagged' Winnipeg with his comments...He said awhile ago that he regrets the comments but once said they're out there and hard to take back.....JJ is not in a good frame of mind and it's understandable...What really irks me is toads like Friezen who lap that kind of thing up and exploit the situation for cheap journalism...

Edge guys in Okpoko, Hergott & Brubacher could draw some interest.

Maybe I'm drunk ( I am) but anyone else think the jake Thomas signing is 1000% for character and character alone. Dude knows what it's like to be a blue bomber.
To me it's interesting that we applaud this organization for having character guys, yet now when we sign character it's upsetting.

My first 28 years of life on this earth we didn't win a grey cup. Now we've been there 4x straight and it seems like a good portion of this board is ready to jump ship like it never happened. I get that we need to be critical but let's reserve that until we haven't made a grey cup lol. Seriously. We were in the conversation to be the worst pro franchise in sports. Yeah no one dislikes Brady getting a big contract, just the idea he can reset the market a d get 250k +... that's a laughable number for a runningback. Sucks for him but the position is expendable. Those guys get thrown into the meat grinder and beaten up and replaced.

I think Wade might disagree with your viewpoint, his goal is to fill the stadium and sell merchandise, and to that end having a couple of local stars certainly helps.

Well then just admit that you nor anyone else can definitively say whether that kick was missed or not. You dislike the guy because of a few misses throughout the year and are projecting that onto the blocked field goal.

Thank you for your thoughts. I agree with many of your comments that you have made.
I believe many true Blue Bomber supporter truly don't want to see Brady/Dalton walk away from our team, I sure don't want to see that. The fans of the team understand when it comes to money matters and what's best for the team, the team does come first. For Brady/Dalton they both know that of the fans/team (both have looked up in the stands and seen the support for them & the team), but they need to look out for themselves right now, the team comes in second, until they sign.
Of course, the unknown waiting game has the true Blue Bomber supporters edgy, testy among themselves (I'm seeing it here). The process of entertaining so called NFL interest or thoughts of future outside opportunities, have many of the supporters showing frustrations during this timeframe (count me in that group). It seems to be a much slower key signing process this year than past couple years.
I have said this of the Blue Bomber Organization in the past, they will get it done, one way or another this year as well and I will support the Bombers up in the stands.

It's not 6 months work when you factor in that they have to work out every single day, 12 months of the year to be in football shape. Hasn't been a part time job in many many years. Factor in that your career can be over in a heartbeat in this rough sport, and they should be getting every penny they can. 

This post is exactly what I see when I watch a game with the people ive been sth with for years. 1 pick, 1 long pass completed against us and chicken little and the sky had fallen. I don't know how many times I've told people to calm down!!

I feel like too many people are still trapped in the drought. They don't believe that the Bombers can actually be good. Every loss is a harbinger of doom. Every interception is Zach getting too old, every sack is the OL deteriorating. Ignoring the fact that we still placed first in almost every meaningful statistical category for the past 3 seasons. 
We are a great team. Period. Full stop.
There are areas we can improve. First glance of the off season (early signings and coaching changes) shows me we are committed to making those improvements. 

Most posters start as lurkers until they feel comfortable enough contributing something.
But if you try and share a conflicting opinion and get smashed or threatened or ridiculed, it turns people away. 

Lurkers help keep the lights on and if, as a community, we drive those people away it's less likely the lights stay on.
In a professional setting are you someone who thinks those in a meeting who are shy, introverted or hesitant to speak are worthless or are you someone who looks for ways to give them a voice?  Do you recognize that different views, perspectives and experiences are valuable and hearing them might benefit the team as a whole or are you someone who rejects that person because they lack the confidence to put themselves out there? Food for thought.
Frankly, I'd rather this be a place where *anyone* feels safe to contribute .. where those with knowledge foster a spirit of understanding of the game and are humble enough to recognize their opinions are not gospel .. I want more voices, not less.
 

You seem to be very black and white person. But this is a shades of grey decision.
MOS didn't wake up one morning and fire Boudreau all on his own. But neither did Walters. They did their evaluations, had a conversation, and came to a decision.
If you want to sit there and tell everyone that MOS has zero input on his own staff and I will absolutely roll my eyes at you. It is simply another case of you manipulating every comment and piece of news into the exact same criticism over and over and over. 

I'm counting down FA, then the draft. Those are the two offseason high points for me. 

At no point did I say it wasnt. I stated that it was way, way down the list of reasons why we lost and I stand by that.  FACT: That was a winnable game with the roster we had dressed. FACT: Our own mistakes cost us that game. FACT: Buck and RIchie Hall did not have very good game plans. FACT: 3 red zone turnovers took a potential 21 points, and a guaranteed 9 points off the board that would have secured us victory easily. When you add all that up, where does roster management stand in all of that. Very low in the order of importance. It would be different if the Jeffs looked gassed, or Biggie was completely ineffectual, or we were not able to drive on the ALs...which we did...just turnovers cost us points. However, we did all that and made some key mental and ball security mistakes and it cost us the game.
I get that some of you guys really want to pin this on the roster management boogeyman that we have been hearing ad nauseum about all year, but it simply was not the case in the Grey Cup. A very small contributing factor....MAYBE...can not even say that for sure. What I can tell you for sure is that when you turn the ball over 3 times in the red zone against a D like the ALs...you stand a very good chance of losing that game and we did. Not sure why everyone is so myopically fixed on the whole roster management thing that you are forgetting football 101.
