With the Saskatchewan media types along with the majority of the their fan base, this thing of endorsing Cody as the "face of the league", its now time for Fajardo to "put up or shut up", its all gone to his head. He needs to polish his quarterbacking skills further, he's only been a starting quarterback for how many games? Not many.  Making him out to be in the same class as the other (4) four starting quarterbacks out here in the western division, well, I don't think so. The others are seasoned. Cody, you are playing on a good team (as much as I hate to say that), try being a part of it.....

Ummm has fajardo not started every game for the riders thus far ( Bombers kicked his ass twice in a row by the way) Harris has been in the whole time for the elks up til now... so why is it just an excuse now that the Bombers record is better than everyone  else's? I will say this,  the narrative that the Bombers are just lucky with injuries is crap. Our team has depth. Full stop. That is why it doesn't appear injuries have impacted them. Get a GM that does his job and you can replace guys lost to injury.
Kyle walters is the hardest working most proactive Gm in the cfl. Change my mind.

TSN, really only cares about presenting its material to the Toronto market, the rest of the country is a secondary thought. We all saw it the other day (Trade Centre Toronto) about those flipping Leafs... Case in point, when the damn Leafs play in the west everyone has to adjust to prime time Toronto. This also holds true for Canada's network as well, in this situation.
We all know, Toronto (Big Smoke) dreamer market wants 4 down football. The Bills played there and that was really successful.  Yep, perhaps Naylor should report on that venture. They want a new stadium for the Jays, think about that for a bit.. Yesterdays thing was put on for a reason. The current ownership (Argos front and centre), in my opinion is behind a move to have that 4 down brand football. 
Final comment, some of these reporter(s) as well, just don't do a service either to the CFL (wasn't it one of them, during last years draft) who had NFL material in their book case, while providing insightful reporting on up and coming Canadian talent.  Nice way of promoting the game, EH!!!
 

I don't think Winnipeg had room for him. They've needed for years a legit slotback and they got that in Mitchell. The other two American starters are Adams and Lawlyer with Bailey and Grant battling for playing time as well. 

It would seem from the various sources commenting that the league really sees playing without fans as an absolute last resort. Some talk of a later start in August, and every financial model that we have seen In the CFL past has shown that ticket sales and game day profits generate up to 65% of league revenues. So not surprising that fan attendance is not addressed. The CFL would probably prefer to exhaust all other possibilities (including a later start or a shorter schedule with fans in the stands - which is dependent on what the Provinces will allow and not what the league would prefer), and given the angst (some have said entitlement) of fans on message boards, why put out a plan that may not come to pass? Because you just set yourself up for criticism if the season is delayed and some know-it-all’s then whine about being promised football and why don’t they just go with the no-fans plan, and why are they lying to us again? Again, planning is crucial, plans are useless because plans change. But that’s just my opinion, I don’t have this burning need to hold the league’s feet to the fire and a need to know RIGHT NOW when there are more important life issues during this pandemic. 

The NHL announced its 2021 season 3 weeks before puck drop. The NBA announced its season start a while 6 weeks before opening tip-off. MLS is ready to start its season (6 weeks before its first games) but says it is still working out how to include the Canadian teams with border restrictions, and no plan announced there yet. MLB supposedly starts in 2 weeks and yet they just discussed last week a shortened season possibility, but no plan announced. NFL and NHL both postponed games on the fly and and did not ever discuss in advance what they would do to make them up - this stuff all happened as it came up. NHL still hasn’t answered the question of how they will make up all the games or what they will do if more get postponed. AHL cancelled its year last year too, so did all USports and CHL, who turn a pretty good buck for a “non-pro” league. They are just hoping for the best. And yet you expect the CFL to lay out the answers for you now 4 months before the season starts? And you seriously want to compare the CFL to every other league as if their operations are apples to apples scenarios?
Here is a harsh reality check for all you fans who feel entitled to know the details of the CFLs multiple planned scenarios this instant. The big 4 sports all lost tons of money playing to empty houses. But the have massive TV contracts to offset those losses. The CFL makes peanuts compared to those leagues, and still has sizeable operating budgets to be able to function. They need fans to turn any kind of profit. Period. And they cannot dictate if fans are allowed to gather en masse right now. So until we get a view of where the pandemic sits come May with vaccinations and 3rd waves, no one can say for sure how the plan will shake out. For now, I see schedules out, players being re-signed, free agency in full swing, just like business as usual in every non-pandemic year. So sit back, digest the evidence that the season for now is a go based on what IS happening, understand just how fluid the situation is because of something none of us have ever lived through before, ignore a random unsubstantiated opinion piece from a media troll looking to stir up **** (if it bleeds, it leads, so they say, so saying “schedule announcement and playing signings show league looking to be on track” doesn’t generate as many hits) and quit jumping all over Ambrosie because he hasn’t laid out the master plan for all of us entitled fans who need clarity NOW, like he personally snuck the virus out of Chins and it’s totally on him if I don’t get my patio boozing or Rum Hut non-social distancing guaranteed by day’s end. 

I’m sure you don’t have a hot clue what Wade feels about any about of this.

Simple rule in customer service where things that determine the outcome are ultimately out of your control - undersell and overproduce.

First, this is a 3DownNation post, and from everything I have read (and everything I have heard from the vast majority of posters here) their credibility is as solid as Qanon lately.
Second, this “anonymous source” isn’t quoting anything official or citing an executive position and is basically stating a personal opinion of what they and they themselves think might be feasible. Their supposed cred comes from being “familiar” with the executive level of the league, whatever that means. That list could include any host of journalists who know who the league executives are but has no say in actual league operations.
Third, that opinion seems based solely on the state of the Edmonton no-names, as regurgitated to an Edmonton reporter. Since they don’t have a full coaching staff, this source claims that, rather than being behind the 8-ball when all the other 8 franchises are operating as if the season is a go, in fact Edmonton is the “canary in the coal mine” who are not replacing staff because only they see the danger of no season and are cost cutting. As if their lack of staff has everything to do with this hidden agenda to not play, as opposed to Scott Milanovich bailing on his contract when the NFL came a-calling. It is trying to paint the “whatever name the fans vote for, it will be stupid”’s as ahead of the curve rather than behind it, and creates a false narrative of their disorganization as indicative of some inside knowledge over the league shutting down.
 
Fourth, the opinion is not that the league will not proceed, but that in their mind it would be better to wait another year to guarantee full stadiums, a completely new CFLPA contract, and everybody vaccinated. Nothing in that sentiment is wrong. Having all that in place would allow much more stability than the band-aid plan that might come to pass (and which is how every other league is operating right now, before anyone jumps on this as a sign of CFL weakness - all leagues are drowning right now, the CFL just doesn’t have the deep pockets the big 4 do). What the report fails to touch on is what the harm in not playing would be. The article seems to suggest that the fans would be upset but other than that there would be no downside, when the reality is that shuttering another year would do economic harm beyond hurt fan feelings. So this article has a heavy bias towards “not playing is better” and spins it into “may not be feasible this year”, and the crowd here then spins it into “now the league is back-tracking” based on nothing other than a pre-determined dislike of Ambrosie, like it’s completely his fault a bat spread a virus in China.  
 
So the season may go, it may not, but this article offers zero evidence either way. And Ambrosie is not blameless for many things in the CFL, but let’s not manufacture outrage based on purely speculative opinion pieces with no credible intel. 

Gotta say this doesn't shock me because they didn't let anyone know what the plan was for this year. Sucks for everyone if they can't get a season in, but the pandemic takes precedence over everything. Canada can't have 4 super spreader events a week. 
Maybe rapid testing at the door is an answer. Maybe only people who have been vaccinated (Vaccination cards?). Maybe 25% occupancy and masks for social distancing. Maybe all of the above.

Sleeper free-agency pickups in DT position are: Baron Woody (MTL) and Michael Wakefield (OTT) both started for their respective teams and have almost the same stats with Stove. I think they would be cheaper option than Micah Johnson. 

Really interesting stuff.... Whitehead, based on his social media, would really like to come back, but I'm sure wants to maximize his value. Miles and Rush are two guys I thought would be slam dunks to return....guess not. Exume might want to be closer to home and Peterman just wants a place to start. Fair enough. 

Not to mention some of the best offensive production in the league in recent years. #33 is the straw that stirs in the drink in Bomberland.

Seeing that there is interest coming from Montreal (home for him) and a connection with Danny M... I agree, he's a great special teams player and hopefully stays a Bomber!!!!
