Whelp i hate to say i told ya... team just doesn't have it physically, i wish i was wrong. Bowness needs to make more than one minor change and if we are out early again this year...it is finally time to look at Chevy. Can he be objective with players that he has drafted? Can he really overhaul this team?

Really would have liked to been up 2-0. Jets need to find their game and quick. Schmidt draws in, Stanley is out.
9 PM Start. Sportsnet.
Go Jets Go!!!
Ahhh one change and it's Schmidt in...what a shocker. The Avs will be shaking now...

Auston Matthews sneezed at practice today.
Numerous articles and tweets incoming from Sportnet personalities and their sources keeping all of us abreast at what this means.
Is he ok? Will he survive? And people wonder why the Leafs are hated...please Boston do us a favor and save us! 😄

I wonder why the CFL would suspend a guy who is aleady retired? I guess at least he is still kind of around to suspend i guess?? Better late than never? 😄

This is what i have been talking about, toughness, we have to be more physical. The question is do we have the player's to survive a series? We need to match Colorado' s physical play or this series is done. I expect the Jets to be better next game.

Snippet from the Athletic looks like no worries with Mcgroarty......
A league source tells The Athletic that this is not the expectation for McGroarty: McGroarty’s decision was made with his NHL development and an eventual Jets roster spot in mind.
The opportunity to increase his role as a third-year player in Michigan is clear; with fellow stars like Brindley, Duke and Nazar signing in the NHL, McGroarty will be counted on to drive results. There’s also the potential of being named captain as Jacob Truscott just completed his fourth year.
Meanwhile, Winnipeg is a deep team, particularly up front and on the wings. Sean Monahan and Tyler Toffoli are the only 2024 UFAs on the roster, which already leaves Cole Perfetti, the No. 10 pick in 2020, on the outside looking in. With fellow 2022 first-round pick Brad Lambert and 2021 second-round pick Nikita Chibrikov making big strides with Manitoba in the AHL this season, it’s difficult to look at the Jets roster and see immediate NHL playing time. Whereas Nazar has already played (and scored) in the NHL for Chicago and Brindley will make an immediate debut for Columbus, McGroarty doesn’t have that same runway in Winnipeg.

After the Mike McIntyre puff piece, I just have this bad feeling he's going back to Uni and thus the 2025 draft.
Says he has a great relationship with the Jets including a lot of respect for management. Not sure how you read that he is not signing with the Jets eventually?

Wasn't Makar added to the Avalanche as a raw rookie in the playoffs ? I know it's a stretch but Mcgroarty looks pro hockey ready, certainly has the size and skill. 😊

Would be nice if they could add McGroarty for their playoff run.
Any chance with his talent and grit we could add him to the Jets? I know they never rush rookies ( which is a good thing) but Mcgroarty looks like a beast...

Such a tough first round i know we spanked the Avs but that is a tough first round, and Dallas gets to face VGK adding as usual for the playoffs... even Van facing Nash is really tough...a couple of good teams out early...

Pinball is a very personable individual but no one is saying he has the acumen to run a league which is roughly equivalent to herding cats. A LOT of cats.
Yeah well the herd of cats are loose and Ambrosie is looking for dogs...

We want a long brutal series. just like a long brutal series for Dallas and Vegas... 7 games triple overtime each game. That way they'll be softer for round 2
Yea i know i was referring to watching them play! 😉

If the Jets sleepwalk in Dallas, they will get utterly destroyed. Need to play a full 60 mins, much like how they played against NYR.
Yeah, but after their point streak ended they gave up 15 goals on the next 2 games plus another 4 tonight . They will match up against the Canucks who don't have a problem scoring. Vancouver doesn't have good goaltending at the moment so really it'll come down to Sarros.
Demko coming back should help but yeah facing the Preds nucks have all the pressure. I would not want to face Sarros. Not a fan of ethier team so hopefully it's a short brutal series! 😄
