Taken from a story by Ted Wyman Winnipeg Sun:

Jermarcus Hardrick didn’t see it coming and he’s still trying to figure out why he and his teammates got run over by the B.C. Lions last week.

“It felt like a horror movie while it was happening and I hope it never happens again,” the veteran right tackle said Tuesday, a few days after his team allowed seven quarterback sacks in a 30-6 loss to the Lions.

“We practised hard last week, we didn’t take them lightly. It was just a good a-s-s whooping. I wish I knew why it happened.”

The Bombers’ offensive line is normally a bastion of consistency. With four-time CFL most outstanding offensive lineman Stanley Bryant at left tackle, Hardrick on the right side and veteran all-star Paddy Neufeld at guard, the group doesn’t get pushed around very often.

After practice on Tuesday, Hardrick remained dumbfounded.

“I swear we worked hard, worked out, watched the same film … we didn’t do anything different but the scoreboard was different,” Hardrick said. “There’s been a lot of sleepless nights, looking back at everything.”

At this point we can hope there isn't a reoccurrence of this mystery "ass-whooping"...teams will be dissecting this game film to replicate whatever BC did.
if this happens again to that extent I will be worried - now move on!!

Prukop has been brought in to do one thing...run the short yardage unit like he did last yr...plain and simple....and I guess the team feels he can do it better right now and throughout the yr than anyone else they have....so good on us for seeing an area we can upgrade and pulling the trigger...He's not here to challenge for QB 1 or QB2...nor was Piggy right now....so we are going with the proven commodity and the option the team is more comfortable with....and thats that...

    From MOS:

"He (Dakota Prukop) takes that piece and studies it and perfects it, and says this is my role, right now, and he's going to thrive in it."

He knows his role and perfects it...that is the philosophy of MOS...that is why we brought him back.

  3. From Derek Taylor:

Day 1 of Bombers practice. Jackson Jeffcoat is in uniform. And Demerio Houston returns after time away for non-injury reasons.

Desmond Lawrence not dressed for practice. Abu Daramy-Swaray moves over to that side to play corner.

If Lawrence is inured that would explain the signing of DB Tyrique McGhee (wearing #38 at practice today)

No Adam Bighill today. Shayne Gauthier seeing a lot of reps. #Bombers

And Redha Kramdi taking reps ahead of Alden Darby at Dime. Darby is in pads and here at practice.

WR Carlton Agudosi has not been working with the 1s today. He’s with the second team.

Is this a serious question? sorry let me rephrase that...If that's a serious question. I'm going to have to make fun of you.

against 4th stringers in preseason...Prukop has shown more stating otherwise is ridiculous. I'm not even a big fan of this decision. But that's a ridiculous thing to say.

We are all going to line up behind you...

Locksley apparently got cut after refusing to go in for a short yardage play.  Being pissed off about being on a shitty team is one thing but refusing to go in?

Yah,,,just saw that on twitter...another angle to the story.  It's still a typical Chris Jones gong show!!

After pulling him from the game he refused to go back in for short yardage work, that was the end of it right there.

Looking down their bench during the last game said it all.....I think the word 'disillusioned' comes to mind and some of them looked like they wanted to head to the next watering hole to forget it all....pronto

Chris Jones will do that...this is what he has done since leaving Sask...I just don't know why he keeps getting chances:

    Cleveland Browns

On January 15, 2019, one week after signing a contract extension with the Roughriders, Jones resigned from the Roughriders to take a two-year contract with the Cleveland Browns as their Senior Defensive Specialist. After one season, Jones was removed from the coaching staff with the hire of new head coach Kevin Stefanski and placed in an office position for the 2020 season.

    South Pittsburg High School

In April 2021, Jones was named the head coach of his high school Alma Mater, the South Pittsburg Pirates in Marion County, Tennessee. He notably ended the school's nearly century-old rivalry game with neighboring Marion County High School for the 2021 and 2022 seasons, in part due to suspicions that a Marion County fan turned South Pittsburg in for recruiting violations during the 2020 season, resulting in South Pittsburg being placed on probation. Jones resigned from the position on September 13 after coaching only one game, a win against Sequatchie County High School, in order to return to a defensive position with the Toronto Argonauts.

    Return to CFL

On September 21, 2021, the Toronto Argonauts announced they had hired Chris Jones as a defensive consultant. Two months later, on December 21, 2021, it was announced that Jones had returned to Edmonton to become the head coach and general manager of the renamed Edmonton Elks.

Ritchie Hall likes to fall back into these old habits. He has the worse disguised blitzes in all of history.  Qbs don't need to stop and think, they just known where to go when the pressure comes and they make the easy completion.

    Seen it a million times.

and on at least one occasion Darby ran to Pembina Hwy thinking he was going to be able to close that gap quickly....and no surprise he couldn't.

Ok so who then our biggest screw up on D personal speaking? Darby? Thomas?

Or coaching an issue again with Hall?

Desmond Laurence had got beat real bad the last two games.  Would love to see how many yards he had given up.

willie has still been decent, he is playing almost every snap though.  Rookies are gonna cost you though - they make mistakes and cause others to compensate for them making their play less effective.
