  1. If you can't remember, just admit it. Sheesh.
  2. Yeah, he wouldn't have helped, especially late when we needed a stop. I wonder if he regrets his decision to not come here after that loss by the Blue yesterday. The Bomber defence was good enough. The offense was comatose for the first half and a bit. Muamba wouldn't have changed that, and the Eskies' running game was not what did us in.
  3. When you have more blowout losses than wins, that ought to be enough to tell you everything you need to know.
  4. There's an important optical that has surfaced once again and this time its Hajrullahu. I am not advocating that we take out the blindfold and cigarette but this is yet another instance where the Bombers (and I am assuming that O'Shea is responsible) have allowed a painfully obvious struggling player or coach to continue even when the evidence is overwhelming that a change was/is needed. Hajrullahu has been getting worse and worse with no repercussions and Bellefeuille continues to underwhelm. And then there was our "middle linebacker" last year and Chevon this year, etc. Is there a pattern here?
  5. Listening to Rod Black blathering while the Bombers lose yet another game has to constitute cruel and unusual punishment or adding insult to injury. Or both.
  6. In Saturday's Free Press, Lawless opined that the Bombers ought to extend O'Shea's contract. For what its worth (aka: not much).
  7. of whom? the Riders?
  8. The names change but the post-mortem keeps sounding the same.
  9. That's about 20 minutes sooner than usual.
  10. But how many times was Nichols pounded and/or hurried into throwing the ball away?Oddly enough, after Neufeld went out, the line settled down a bit and he (Nichols) seemed to stay upright .. Goosen at LG .. Capers at RT.. First half especially, untouched defenders teeing off on Nichols. Brutal. That has nothing to do with adjustments. However if our kicker does his job today, 33 points is something I might have a hard time using as evidence to add to the already collected evidence thus far that supports canning our OC. Just focusing on today in isolation, this game is not on MB. You're going to have a hard time getting a lot of people who watched the first half to believe that.
  11. But how many times was Nichols pounded and/or hurried into throwing the ball away?
  12. Given O'Shea's blind and irrational loyalty to his people, I would not consider that a certainty.
  13. Nichols was darned near as good as Reilly today, better if you factor in all the dropped balls. Willy may be a lot more brittle than he ought to be and next season will tell, so we ought to make a real effort to keep Nichols.
  14. I wasn't as upset at this loss as I have been at earlier ones. I guess it has come down to no longer expecting the Bombers to win, and its all downhill from here. How do you motivate a team which is obviously no longer in the hunt?
  15. This has to be a package deal- Bellefeuille, O'Shea and the O-line coach. Who made the decision to keep starting Hajrullahu even though he has been getting worse and worse throughout the season? Another bad personnel decision in a long string of them.
  16. Muamba was good. Very good, in fact, but I share your distaste for his traveling road show.
  17. Odd that the curtain seems to be coming down for both CFL gurus Popp and Buono.
  18. Burris is having the season of his career, and comparing him to Willy is real tough. Burris has been remarkably unbreakable and Willy has yet to finish a season. Willy has shown flashes that lead us to believe he has a very high ceiling on his abilities but one more injury-shortened season and the Bombers will be forced to conclude that he is not in their future.
  19. Sure we are, but you would have to spread that over two or three seasons.
  20. Popp must be having nighmares reliving last night and I would bet the asking price for Glenn just went up. Way up.
  21. Its not going to make Alouette fans any happier, but I don't think that the short week is any excuse. They are a bad team. Period. They now have a coach whose record is mediocre at best, no established quarterback and then they lost what, two? three? starters in their defensive backfield. And then Burris decided that this was going to be the best game he pitched in years.
  22. Burris is definitely ON tonight. Haven't seen as thorough a shredding of a pass defence since Dunigan's epic game.
  23. It was a condition of the sale iirc. If that's what it takes to make the Argo franchise solid and well-attended, I have no problem with it.
  24. It would have been a good deal classier if Muamba had said to the Bombers that his first preference was to sign with Montreal or possibly Edmonton due to family ties instead of teasing. That would have left the fans here with a better taste in their mouths. Its his life and career and he can go where he wants but treating Walters with respect would have been nice.
  25. The best predictor of future performance is past performance, barring major changes, and O'Shea has given no reason for optimism here.
