Now those two big-ticket items are off the books, but before? Can you honestly tell me that all those taxi-squad players the Riders have been hiding, feeding, housing and paying are not going to count against the cap?

Eskies at Riders
Esks had terrible field position pretty much the whole game, but from my point of view, Reilly's passing was off all game. I wonder if the beating he has been taking behind that poor 0-line is taking its toll on him.

Can we beat calgary?
Our defence measures up well except that I still see a vulnerability against the run and in Hall's soft pass-prevent schemes. Our offence will have to get untracked early as Calgary's defence is good enough to stop late-game rallies as the Bombers have managed to pull off lately. We have to stay close.

GDT: Toronto @ Winnipeg
Yes, but they really looked terrible in the first half, and a good deal of the third quarter.

Eskies at Riders
Neither team looked good enough to scare anyone in the playoffs. Not a good game for Reilly.

Roughies win, but I would be just as happy to see them lose once again.

Maybe we could trade Kolhert for Demski?

Hard to tell, but the final responsibility comes to rest on the head coach. I would love to know the reasons for the dink and dunk offense- is it because we have had such a revolving door at receiver, lack of trust in Nichols or what.

Eskies at Riders
Not a high-light game so far. Reilly's passing looks off all first half and Durant has been carrying the Riders almost all by himself. Not an offensive gem by any means, and if Durant and Bowman were not in the game the score would probably be 4-3 at half-time. Ah well, better than the NFL.

We don't have to wait for Loffler to be very good- he is at that level already, which is amazing for a rookie. And yes, there were some head-scratching decisions by the Bomber offence yesterday. We've had a fair number of those in the past couple of years, but that's what you get with an inexperienced head coach. We need to hope that O'Shea is learning from these oopsies.

Miller starting contract extension talks with Walters O'Shea
Walters has certainly earned an extension, but O'Shea still has to make his bones. The first two years were such a mess and with so many personnel and strategy decisions that there is room for doubt. I would think that letting him finish out the season and assessing things then would make sense.

Anyone going to the game in Calgary?
Tough times, tough measures.

3 stars plus HH week 13
The Stamps did not look unbeatable today although the RBs crumbled in the 4th quarter, so maybe, just maybe we have a shot at them, but if we get off to the same slow start as has been the case, all bets are off. Our delpleted receiving corps could be a real problem with the injuries today.

That was the turning point. Bombers were really struggling before then.

Hajrullahu is going to see the field and regress into PTSD from last year, especially if he blows the first kick.

Sounds pretty dire. Popp needs to go back doing what he does best.

Wild is not in the game today.
