Fantastic call by MOS to save us from scoring points. Brilliant strategy

one on hand I feel really good for Ottawa fans and that organization, and city. They deserve some success after the clown show argument they've had.

on the other.. god damn. unreal to watch what a competent and well run management structure can accomplish.

No doubt and it all starts at QB. Give Ottawa credit for being greedy and doubling up on proven starting QB's. Walters should have thrown his chequebook at Harris instead of showing blind faith in Willy who has proven nothing other than a proficiency for getting hurt. Walters has gone all-in with Willy holding a 2-7 offsuit.

Ottawa's offense is just absolutely flying with Travon Van & Trevor Harris. But Van is hurt. But Harris hits Ernest Jackson for a TD. Watching Ottawa just makes me angry. How is it they can build a team like that from scratch in 3 years & we're still stuck in neutral? It's frustrating as hell.

Sure if you want to disagree with my use of the term garbage time, I'll give you that. It was 22-4 when the 4th quarter started, and there was very little reason to believe that our offence would suddenly click and turn it on. Montreal eased up on the gas and Winnipeg made it close, and when the going got tough we had multiple shots at getting the game to overtime or winning but couldn't get it done.
Did Willy and company finally get their act together, or, did Montreal let up after watching a total clown show for 3 quarters? The truth is likely a little of both but the lions share is , in my opinion, the clown show option.

    *redacted*.
If your down multiple scores in the 4th the opposing team gets lazy and usually, not always, gets softer.
Im not trying to make anything up or for a narrative. We made it close late in the game when Montreal would have geared down and when it got close, Willy et all was unable to tie it.

Amazed at the venomous replies, frankly
I edited my post to frankly try and bring some civility back. Again, repeat, I'm not looking to discredit Willy and the O for the sake of being negative and a contrarian. I think any reasonable football fan will agree that if the game is multiple scores difference, and our O has scored but 1 single field goal up to part way thru the 4th, that if the game gets close it`s hard to hitch your wagon to that as a success. Will it carry over? Maybe. I doubt it. Betting odds on it wouldn't be that high.
Talk about wanting to post less because of me writing that is, in itself, hysterical nonsense worthy of "leave brittany alone". Talk about paper thin skin.

Okay I will correct myself. The term only just was incorrect. But the Bombers were never in that game. They made two defensive plays that took points off the board and Montreal took another off on their own. The score and the stats flattered the Bombers though because Montreal was able to move the ball pretty much whenever they wanted and were able to shut down the Bombers as needed. My Father and I left with about 6:30 minutes left and though they tried nothing changed in that time. Whether it was 22 or 222 points its moot all facets of the Bombers game were not up to snuff.
It is something that has become all too familiar. It's great that some of you can be so bloody sure this team doesn't suck but trying to bully or insult others into your line of thinking doesn't work very well. It's what actually causes a drop in posting.
If someone wants to ***** and be overly emotional it happens. The solution isn't to pull out personal attacks and other common fare here it is to calmly and rationally try and argue otherwise. *****-slapping only leads to more bitchslapping.
Since those overly optimistic folks can't, or don't want to, rationally discuss things you get what you have now. I, for one, don't wish to feed the wolf any more and I would encourage other pessimistic folks to refrain from posting. If those overly optimistic sorts want their blue blinders forum let them have it.

The score was 24-4 when we scored a 4th quarter TD. To me that's garbage time. I guess if you want to find positives, go ahead. Be my guest.

    Actually they did state that.
I then countered with the 2015 Harris stats that shattered all of Willy's best stats. Harris is a great QB and is miles ahead of Willy. He proved it last night in Edmonton going up against the GC Champs. Plus I can garuntee you that he isn't getting anywhere near 400K in Ottawa. The brain trust in Ottawa is out thinking the Bombers front office. Ottawa has last year's MOP at QB and they still go out and get a better QB than Willy and the future of the club for probably less than 50% of what the Bombers are paying Willy. Sometimes you wonder how one team can be so smart while another team looks so lethargic in that department.

that was a poor throw by willy, behind the receiver.  Willy was awful when it counted when there was still a reasonable amount of time on the clock.  First, on that poor throw  to Smith and second, on that fumble on the snap.  I getting a little tired waiting for a legit #1 QB to emerge on this team.

    Double like.
OL seemed pretty decent... even with Neufeld and Hardrick - neither of which I really think are the best talent out there...
Willy had time, Harris blocked well, Jace Davis even blocked...  but when the OL has trouble Willy crumbles.

ah yes, the good old argument of "hey we just know better"
if you watched that game, and, all of drew willys games since he became a starter for us, and you think the big issue is the O line... good luck. drew willy isnt good enough or smart enough. the pressure he endures is a product of a combination of a troubled O line, and more importantly, his own inability to make quick reads
i feel like one would have to watch the games with their eyes closed to not see his panic on a nearly down by down basis.
btw how was Harris behind that horrible O line tonight? surely he did terrible?

Garbage offense. Defense looked .. ok. Nothing terrible. If the Bombers actually gave them a little more time off the field perhaps they'd look even better. 22 points in the CFL when your offence is never on the field is actually not bad.

Not to start off negative already, but, this is a no win for me. Montreal should be the worst team in the league and we start off at home against them. Our schedule gets very tough; this is a must win.
    If we lose? Good lord.
