  1. This year was magic...but football is a what have you done for me lately business. Next year is next year and if we struggle I want heads to roll just as if we were in a 30 year GC drought. We are the GC champs and should not be approaching next year, or in the age of 1 year contracts, any year as a rebuild. We have the foundation in place now my expectations are on field success every year.
  2. He wasn't willing to go on the PR, however, I don't think there were any bad terms or anything and a good chance he would re-sign with us.
  3. Should Willie leave I hope we sign McAlister. He played extremely well for us in the game he played and reminded me a lot of Willie J. Of course, I wouldn't expect him to match Willie J but he sure looked like an up and comer that deserves a shot.
  4. Max signing bonus limit is really low for players with less than 4 years experience. However, the teams can guarantee as much of the base salary as they want. To date, the highest contract a CFL player has gotten in guaranteed money from the NFL is a 10k signing bonus and 85k of their contract guaranteed.
  5. If Jefferson doesn't get some significant guaranteed money he will not sign in the NFL.
  6. Very possible that they did and we are doing TO a solid by not releasing him until they have a contract worked out.
  7. Baseball doesn't have an SMS. Throwing the doors open before all teams have their final SMS numbers in and the ability to use up left over cap space wouldn't be great. However, they certainly could move it up to January 1, I would think.
  8. Wheeler is quite a bit bigger.
  9. I didn't start this fire internet tuff guy. If you know more about football than I do you sure don't demonstrate it with your content very well because not much of what you state is anything more than misinformation. Whether that is intentional or not, I won't speculate but dude I can honestly tell you that you have everyone's bullshit meter redlining right now. Now go run along and hide behind your keyboard. Don't try to condescend to people who know more than you, it makes you look stupid not us.
  10. This did not age well.
  11. He will be back as our 3rd QB imo.
  12. yea, he is definitely an outlier to the equation.
  13. I think he is being very intentional with what he is saying. A real internet tuff guy.
  14. Last year yes, but this year he was playing excellent ball right up until his injury.
  15. Style makes no difference. When you are a QB you are the nail, not the hammer. Whether, you get concussed from a blind side hit or not hook sliding is irrelevant.
  16. Coming from someone who thinks you're full of crap, I can confirm that it is you who does not know what the hell you're yapping about. There are many different types of should injury and you have zero clue as to what MN's injury was. Not sure how you could equate the recovery of an elite athlete with what they have at their disposal, to that of a keyboard warrior who strained his shoulder reaching for a donut.
  17. That's just it....a fan base that saw this exact same movie starring Buck Pierce sure seems to have a short memory.
  18. When I hear guys dismiss Collaros's concussion history and then suggest that MN's injury is just as problematic only one word comes to mind. Clueless. I loved what Collaros did for us, I really do, and if he ends ups back here next year I wouldn't shed a tear. However, one has to acknowledge that it would be a massive gamble on our season.
  19. Being condescending doesn't make your argument right, nor does it make it any more compelling. Maybe you should check your attitude at the door because if you think it makes you sound smart you are sadly mistaken. Clueless indeed.
  20. One aspect is a comparison of concussion histories. I would take ZC over Nichols any day of the week based on play but you have to factor in ZC's concussion history. You seem to be ignoring that and that is extremely short sighted. The problem is that at this stage of his concussions he is extremely prone to getting another one and missing significant time and unlike other injuries that heal over time this never will
  21. Also, I can guarantee that should the Bombers not make Collaros an offer he can't refuse prior to FA that the first team his agent will call to see what level of interest there is will be Toronto. I would be shocked if a deal weren't already in place between Pinball and Zac's camp prior to him being traded.
  22. Not tampering, but if the trade deal is that once FA opens no draft pick it would be pretty hard to convince anyone that a deal was not in place prior to FA if we filed it 1 minute into FA. In that case, the league may decide to award the draft pick.
  23. Who knows they may have agreed upon a minimum window, say 24 or 48 hours past the opening of FA.
  24. The Argos would have a pretty compelling case with the league that the deal was done pre-FA if that were to happen.
  25. I am sure that Pinball feels pretty comfortable that if it gets that far down the road that Collaros would take the call from him before signing.
