  2. Let’s just remember. Our offence was a complete joke before Lapo came in. Amongst the worst in the league. We were 12-24 into the O’Shea era. Sure we were able to build in free agency and some guys came into their own but we went from 5-13 to seasons of 11-7, 12-6, 10-8 and 11-7 respectfully. Like it or not we won a lot of games once we got a capable coordinator and QB.
  3. See that’s a fair critique, however he was a great X’s and O’s Guys and did a great job getting guys involved in the offence. Now if we’re talking about being conservative I’ll go one step further. He did a great job at play calling, but as soon as we built a lead in the first half often the second half was too conservative. He did mix in a fair amount of trick plays, deep shots, and overall solid play calling, but anytime there was a lead in the fourth we were for better or for worse putting the ball in Harris’s hands.
  4. Ok so more then 3 Grey cup wins is considered good, less then three is considered lousy, ok gotcha good to know O’Shea and Walters are on the hot seat this year and need to win a third so that they’re not on 17to85’s lousy list!
  5. Well yeah I’m not a big fan of talking bad about Nichols or Lapo in my opinion. Both were key cogs in shaping our winning culture. Both have their short comings sure but there would be no Grey Cups without these guys in our organization.
  6. He had a fine arm before he injured his knee back in 2018. Remember in 2017 he had 4500 passing yards and 28 TD’s and 8 INT’s. I don’t like the Nichols slander! He was instrumental in shaping the current winning culture. We forget that O’Shea had a 12-24 record with Drew Willy as our starter, getting Nichols instantly added stability and we went onto win 11 games our first season with Nichols under Center.
  7. Prukop looked good late. He really thread the needle on that last touchdown. He has the legs and a decent arm. Wonder if he sticks around.
  8. Great showing! You can tell it’s a well coaches, talented team. Even with our third stringers. Culture rubs off on the guys!!
  9. He’s the leader of the O. I imagine he wanted to help his QB’s and receivers out there. I think he has a big year this year, he wants to be our leader.
  10. Timing issue more then anything. No chemistry with these guys yet.
  11. He’s a short guy! I know they were saying 5’8 but he looks closer to 5’6 to me.
  12. I like Brown. I like the routes from our receivers. The timing will get there.
  13. just a miss read. Brown thought he would stop, Borsa was going side lines. Pre season things.
  14. Brown has got some wheels. I think he provides an interesting dynamic as a back up.
  15. Yeah he played bigger then he was for sure. I was shocked he’s only 6’1.
  16. it’s always ugly whenever there’s a game played in Saskatchewan!
  17. Didn’t he have a bad reaction to a shot? People are making some pretty petty assumptions about the guy.
  18. I used to run retail stores. More higher end stores like flag ship western Canadian stores and I got out of the industry because retail management jobs weren’t paying that great they were starting to get cheap. I was making around 45 k a year which is on high end of a retail spectrum but I got out of the industry right as the pandemic was starting and now make significantly more in a customer service role with a marketing company, never would go back. It seemed like most companies wanted to pinch pennies. Even at the places where I was making decent money they wouldn’t let me reward lower management or employees with anymore more then 12, or 13 bucks an hour. Put a strain on retaining quality employees.
  19. Wow that’s pathetic if true. Retail companies who don’t invest in their management are short sighted because you really get what you pay for.
