Odds and Sods - Bombers at BC Lions
Remember when we were 1-4 year and finished 11-7. Remember that year we went to the Grey Cup against B.C and they won? Yeah they started that season 0-5. We lost a game by a hair to one of the best teams in the league and everyone is so doom and gloom. Is there areas to improve on? Absolutely. Do our best players need to play better? 100 percent. But all this negative attitude after four games is a bit much. After years of terrible starts, a revolving door of QB's, and head coaches, I'm glad we have a stable core that can compete day in and day out.

Looking Ahead: Montreal Vs Winnipeg
We gotta have that must win mentality. BC, Edmonton, and Calgary are establishing themselves as the top tier teams in the league. We need to win these types of games if we're going to stay on pace and keep up. No excuses to come out flat against Montreal.

3 stars + HH BC edition.
It was a stat line based on the reciever making "deemed" difficult catches. I was a beer or two in so I don't remember exactly.

I agree but Darvin Adams should of had that deep ball that was perfectly thrown in the 4th. If he hangs on to that we likely win the game. I saw the stat line and Matt Nichols gets the least amount of help from his receivers on "tough" catches in the league. Sometimes the playmakers need to bring it down. I mean 3 TD's, 1 rushing TD, and 42 points of offense should be enough to win most games, our defense was awful.

The defense that allowed 45 points??! I'm not entirely sure what game you're watching.

HM: Thomas Miles was a beast on the teams today. Besides that first kick off Rainey was held in check.

Darvin Adams making that one handed catch in the end zone effortlessly. THIS is the Darvin Adams I wanted to see. He's come to play tonight.

11/13 for 110 yards with 2 TD's and 0 INT's yeah total embarrassment.. Not the defense that's getting carved up

Around the League - Regular Season Discussion (Redux)
You could care less about the past but you keep bringing it up. You guys have been terrible in the past three years, and your QB is an almost 40 Kevin Glenn, and your best DB is a past his prime Jovon Johnson. Your team is pretty far away from competing.. Beating a winless ti cats team does nothing to change that.

If you think 4 Grey Cups in a century is an achievement I don't know what to tell you. enjoy another season in the basement!

One win and Rider fans act like their team hasn't been a total joke for the past three seasons.

Looking Ahead: Winnipeg Vs BC
Probably my favourite game I ever went to was the 2002 Western semi finals against the BC Lions. I was eleven years old at the time and my uncle scored seats at i believe the 40 yard line second row.. Not only did the Bombers hammer the Lions 30-3 I remember losing my voice joining in the chant "BC sucks!" Moral of the story is.. BC sucks

MONTREAL @ OTTAWA
I dislike the Riders but always respected Darian Durant. Show him some respect, especially if you're a Rider fan. He did nothing wrong.. Jones didn't want him anymore. He was always a heart and soul guy. He's responsible for a quarter of the Riders grey cups in their franchise history and led them to two more.. Not bad for a Rider

MONTREAL @ OTTAWA
Two medicore teams. Sure both teams can move the ball, but their defenses, and special teams leave a lot to be desired. Really like Harris think he's a good QB. Powell runs really tough and shifty. Also think we really could use a guy like Nik Lewis on our roster as a 4/5 option he's still really sure handed, knows how to find that sweet spot in the zone.

Looking Ahead: Winnipeg Vs BC
He's not great. He's big and strong and usually pretty shore handed but he's dropped some of the passes great receivers make. Good reciever, but not a great one.

Looking Ahead: Winnipeg Vs BC
Man I really want to see someone seize an opportunity at reciever. I think in the past two years we've given guys an opportunity to become a starter and compliment Dressler and Adams but no ones stepped up to the plate. One more consistent weapon on offense would go a long way.

GDT: Toronto @ Winnipeg
I want to give some love to Weston Dressler. Night and day our most productive and consistent reciever. 309 yards in just three games, almost 17 yards per reception and already has as many touchdowns as he did all of last season. Looks really good so far. Thanks Saskachewan

Bomber's Defense Takes Over
One thing I noticed is when we blitzed ,Ray tried to stretch the field on one vs one coverage and guys like Randle,Heath, and Leggett played it perfectly. It's key to a defensive game plan knowing if you gamble and bring the house that the DB's playing man coverage can hold their own and break up plays.

Did u notice
Nichols is 12-4 as a starter since last season lets give him a little respect. EVERY QB struggles but you show faith in your QB by letting him work through adversity. Ricky Ray threw 2 interceptions and 0 touchdowns but I'm guessing Trestman would look mighty foolish if he benched him.

Good teams win ugly. Good effort in the second half.

Worked a ten hour day.. Cold beer in the fridge, Bombers on the tube tonight. Today is a good day!!

Looking Ahead: Toronto Vs Winnipeg
I'm thinking the offense is going to have to come to play because I'm not loving our defense this week, especially against Ricky Ray.
