Nichols actually got better and better as the season went on. At first he was more or less a game manager but down the stretch when our secondary was being burnt pretty good he was holding his own against guys like Jennings, and Reilly.

Im just glad this organization is at the level in which we can cut starters from last year because of the high level of completion instead of dumpster diving for other teams cuts. The good teams in this league have to make tough decisions on players and sometimes that means moving a long from a good football player.

I think it's funny how brain washed they are on the rider board. They let go of long time legend Darian Durant and brought in Kevin Glenn, NFL wash out Vince Young, and a Bomber PR QB into the fold for the starting position. Bennett is a long term prospect at best, Vince Young has nothing to offer, and we all know what you're getting out of a 38 year old Kevin Glenn. But "keep em coming Jonsie"

Yikes thats a lot of money invested into our bottom four. With Trouba in the last year of his contract and needing a significant raise I wouldn't justify in over spending for Smith.

Yeah but Ricky Ray has played 12 games in the last two years and is 37 years old. Anthony Calvillo went from a 95.68 QB rating to a 107.2 obviously a difference but not as significant as most people think. I do think Trestman is a great coach and if there's any football left in Ricky Rays game Trestman is the one to get it out of him.

Ricky Ray looked done last season. Hopefully he's healthy enough to compete. Always respected and liked Ricky Ray.

I would take Trestman any day of the week over Jones and twice on Sunday's!

After being tire fire organization for so many years it's great to see players being impressed with our organization. The best teams year after year are the teams with a good stable organization. We've built a good core here in Winnipeg.

I'm exactly in the same situation as you too. I'm definitely the biggest Bomber fan in our group of friends the others are casual fans at best who watch NFL and play fantasy football. We're always at the Rum Hut, i'm the one to remind them there's an actual game going on from time to time

I actually think its going to be a log jam for first in the West with us, BC, and Calgary. Calgary is the most polished team, BC has the most lethal offense, and we have the best defense and special teams.

I don't understand what you mean? "Knox didn't take the job away from Bass last season" sure, but if we rewinded the clock back exactly a year ago toady people would have a hard time believing Matt Nichols not only would be our starting QB but a pretty damn good QB to boot.
