I have to say I can never remember the production being this bad.
At halftime of the first game they flashed an 11-9 Calgary score. It was 14-12...
Then for a while during this game it showed as 3-0 Ottawa when it was 3-0 Edmonton.
Can't remember there ever being so many outright screw ups simply displaying the current score of a game.
Serious question, with the year off did they turnover a lot of TV staff?

I genuinely think he is one of the best QBs in the CFL. I've thought so since he first established himself with Toronto. The perception of him being middle of the pack at best is mostly based on injury concerns due to concussions, understandably. If the games were played on PS5 with injuries turned off he's right near the top.

In my head I'm going "he's going to get it knocked out and recovered in the endzone" as the Calgary DB closed in.

I think last night was a classic LaPo/Nichols game. Ball control offence, heavy run game, control the time of possession. Collaros hardly lit it up, only 217 yards. Nichols would have produced the same, maybe even a few more yards as he would have engaged Oliviera in the swing pass game more (remember his one catch went for 21, so it worked the k e time they went to it). The big difference was Collaros extending plays with his scrambling, but honestly how well did it work?  Don’t recall any big plays out of nothing that often other than the one Demski catch after all the running around, lots of those passes went incomplete anyway, and he took a couple of sacks for big losses where Nichols should have swallowed a smaller sack or thrown it away, or run a controlled rollout. I will say Collaros’ ability to run for first downs was important and above what Nichols could achieve but again that was not a serious weapon he went to again and again. That game was won by the defence, having Nichols and LaPo in yesterday and it is the same result. 
I can see games where the Collaros’ style will win us games because we need to win a gun slinging shootout, but I can also see it costing us games. He was lucky in at least 2 throws not to be picked off. But I was hoping a Grey Cup win might get people to lay off on the Nichols/LaPo bashing. Guess some will be married to that narrative forever, and to me that is disappointing. They deserve better IMO. 

1. Fajardo doesn't suck as much as some here predicted.
2. BC does suck (which is an absolute truth, but reinforced here)
On the bright side, Saskatchewan covid protocols said you could only hang out with immediate family, so the province has been wide open for the whole pandemic.

Don't mean to distract anyone from tonights game, or to be a downer, but I have to get this off my chest: this game was very, very emotional for me. My Mom was a big Blue Bomber fan. And back in November, 2019, we watched the Bombers win the Cup together. We cried and hugged each other with joy, as she waited so long to see the Blue win the Cup (as did we all). Last week our family lost our Mom, at age 96. She lived a long and good life and she truly had a heart of gold (I'd like to think "Blue And Gold!"😉) and was loved by all who knew her. And that Grey Cup game was the last Bomber game she would ever see. It breaks my heart that she couldn't watch the game tonight, but if she could have, she would have had a big smile on her face, to see the Bombers win, especially after this last year and a half or so of the world going crazy. So, with a mixture of happiness and sadness, I'm thinking of Mom tonight.

it hit me when I went to the grey cup in 2019 ... it’s easier just to be a fan of the moments and enjoy the team than worry about “well we were fourth place and made a late season surge do you really think we’re a prominent force to be reckoned with or do you think my insufferable opinion about our backup qb being unprepared for battle should go unquestioned”
I drank from the Grey Cup after Andrew Harris handed it to me at a bar in downtown Calgary, surrounded by my closest friends. They could come in last place this year I really don’t care. I enjoyed it. That’s what it’s all about.

Everyone besides Hamilton is screwed if their starter goes down.
I mean, Toronto has Arbuckle/MBT. Bethel-Thompson is decent, put up nice stats last year and his record
Plus it has been said plenty, who were Arbuckle and Evans going into the '19 season? And I know most on here would rather chug a bottle of bleach than give the Riders credit, but career backup Fajardo got pressed into action and took them to 1st in the west. 🤐

Jesus tap dancing christ..... there is a vast vast difference between thinking a guy has potential enough to be a decent backup and expecting the kid to be one of the next BLM. 
Personally I really like his skillset and he showed very well in preseason so I am hopeful he can become a guy who can play. Streveler was nothing before he got his shot, why can't Mcguire do that too?
