Shame we missed out on zach collaros but dems the breaks.. Hope he flounders and we crush him this season is the best we can hope for now, lol

I love the experts (including some here) who went from guaranteeing ZC was our starter to Burris is our starter.  Some people are never wrong even when they're wrong.
 
But so what about this?  Mike claims Zach didnt sign here because of our reputation.  I find that dubious considering none of the people from the last few years are year anymore.  Sounds stupid to me.  The better answer is Hamilton valued him more than the Bombers.
 
Burris is a great QB so hopefully we land him.

It would be a huge risk to let him walk. Certainly not one I would take in their position.

And they could deliver his pay with receivers through  different routes, in different zones, so that he gets the importance of  reading the flow of where the action is.

Not suggesting the ban hammer come down right away (have to let due process take place) but guys, found guilty, need to be dealt with.  Not saying these two are in this case .. was simply making a more global statement (should have probably been more clear .. it's what happens when you post quickly and run to a meeting).

The Crown waited 3 weeks and laid aggravated assault charges, so they believe the assault was committed with intent to severely injure or it was committed with a weapon.  They were able to identify 2 out of a brawl.  This won't be going away quickly. 
 
I honestly don't understand why Anderson is on that team just based on what he does on the field.  He's getting picked on like crazy, I know the Rider fans think he's a big time playmaker, but that's gonna happen when you get targeted 12 times a game, plus he's just about the biggest assclown around, he doesn't intimidate anyone and embarrasses himself and his team by wasting his energy screaming at referees.  This incident is just another example of a guy who can't keep his emotions in check.

Jyles to Toronto, trading picks to move up in the draft 2 years ago, there were some others that I can't quite recall right now. Trades aren't commonplace in the CFL though so not sure that means a hell of a lot. 

Agree with WildPath. Goltz is fast in a straight line, but does not seem as elusive under pressure as some other QBs. This applies not only to durant, lulay, burris, but also reilly, mitchell and definitely collaros, so I don't think its just an experience issue. Not sure if its a pocket presence issue, or just that as a larger quarterback, he's not as shifty. May still improve with time.

What potential does Hall have though?  I think you can work with Goltz to possibly become a passer, because he can make all the throws, and he's a threat with the read option.  Hall is going to have the entire defence sitting on the LOS daring him to make throws, his arm isn't great, and we won't be able to run the ball.  I don't think Hall has much potential and he limits the offence.

So does Morley stay as a 6th lineman, cut, traded? Walters keeps plugging away!

Getting Goltz to be more accurate is something that can be coached in practice.  I'm thinking that they don't have the patience for it right now.  The sense of urgency is still there with the coaches, even though it really shouldn't be anymore. 

Well the club clearly could of spent more wisely on a free new guys.
But I have no issues with them not signing old guys like Simon or Bruce.

Some food for thought, albeit only one game. Last night our gross on kickoffs was 60.3 yards, and the net was 46.3. Through the first 6 games we had a 54.4 yard gross, 34.7 net.
