This is what ticks me off the most about people that just blindly hate Mack.  They criticize him for things he doesn't deserve criticism for.
 
The man built a currently 1-6 team, and one that has sucked for two years now.  There is plenty of legitimate things to criticize Mack for.  That does not mean every move (or non-move) he made was wrong.  Fans at this point just love to revise history here and blame literally everything on him now.  I could not stop facepalming through half this thread.

Super.  We lost to Hamilton when our defense was good and our Pierce-led offense sucked.  Now we've got a crappy defense and a Pierce-led offense.  
 
Pierce is genital herpes to this team.  He's not good for you and he keeps coming back.

Tried and true. Now that he's gone Mack will be treated as the devil to every issue, regardless of whether it's his fault.

Even when comparing boxcar stats such as completion percentage, for instance, Buck has a less than 3% difference.  Neither really lighting it up with Buck at 60.4% and Goltz at 57.7%.  I would urge everyone to not go off anecdotal evidence - everyone remembers Goltz's passes in the dirt against BC for example - but it's important to consider the work as a whole.

Everyone is talking about this "betrayed" word but considering how Justin answered the question, I think the reporter likely asked him "Do you feel betrayed?" or some variant of that.  Still doesn't make Goltz correct for airing this out in the media, but I would bet that knowing this town's media it was a leading question.

The best case scenario right now is to burn this thing to the ground.  I'm not interested in picking up a few fluky wins, getting into the playoffs by default and then get pummelled by an actual playoff team.  Burn it down.  Fire them all.  Start with Burke.

One more thing as I spew out a few random thoughts: this better not end up leading back to Buck. I may not be in favour of this move, but I'm sure as hell in favour of it if it keeps #4 on the bench.

But Mack said he would fix the position, then didn't deal for a QB, and now that he's gone old #4 moves up the depth chart.
It will be hard to convince me Burke doesn't love Buck. There are too many words and actions supporting otherwise.

Head case. He dumped all over the Stamps physicians on Wednesday before he backtracked on Thursday.

At this point simply watching an exciting game is a boost to my CFL morale.

Goltz will be evaluated by two different standards.  For the CFL, his performances have been middling so far, with a share of positive and negative signs.  By Bomber standards, this is the best quarterbacking we've had in two years.  We've had to watch Pierce play the last four years - and brutally suck the last two seasons - so maybe we should give Goltz a little time before we turn the pitchforks on him.
 
People always say "The Bombers should develop a QB" and then turn on young prospects after a few games.  If we're going to be awful this year (and most likely this season isn't going to be pretty) then why not at least stick with a young QB and let him work out some kinks?
