Witherstone was supposed to be having a good camp but didn’t look great in pre season. 
 
Adams is a monster athlete. Played naia level 156 tackles 96 solo 20.5 sacks 56 Tfl. Of note, he did a bit of every thing as well in his 3 years. Punting a decent bit some kick offs, carried the ball throwing it mostly on fake punts. Head and shoulders the most talented guy they had. 40 yard average punter with 19 50+. Realistically his punting motion is kinda janky and really slow at times. If he started following through with his leg he could be a legit punter. Might be a guy you could turn into a kick off specialist.

Who said anything about our starting Canadians? You really need to stop trying to play devil’s advocate, you are remarkably bad at it.
Let’s take your Bighill point, since I love picking on him anyways. The point some of us are trying to make is that IF our coaching staff were willing to submit to the theory that grooming a replacement for him would be good solid forward planning, building a contingency plan for a potential injury to an older player and just overall good practice since Bighill’s ability has been diminishing for a while … then the result potentially becomes that instead of having to choose between a banged up Bighill and a Shayne Gauthier or Jesse Briggs run of the mill player, we have the potential to insert an impactful player into the lineup at a place of need when the need arises.
Our scouting staff is very, very strong. There’s a reason teams have been trying to poach Danny Mac and Goveia for a few years now and there’s a reason Danny Mac is so secure in his employment that he can just tell everyone “talk to me when you’ll let me stay in Florida nearly full time”
If they’re a strength for us to this degree, I’d like to see us bear some more of the fruit of their labours. The coaching staff in years past just seems to content to allow good to be good enough and I’d prefer we pushed the envelope a bit more to see if we can strike gold the same way we have with Schoen, Nichols and guys like Alford, Holm, etc. It would be nice to see our team doing that even when they don’t have their backs against the wall with an open roster spot.

His horrible locker sideline presence and it’s influence on others is underestimated by some imo.

Speaking of which, got my ticket for the home opener, so psyched to see the Bombers take out their rage for losing last year out on CoFaj and pound the Als into the ground....

I expect roster controversy to remain a hot topic here for a while. MOS builds his roster to reinforce the culture, and doesn't have the luxury of black and white thinking like a fan does.

Gotta think they will be making some cuts this weekend to narrow the battles down and give the guys a real shot in the 2nd preseason game.

Same. Soo much room for innovation on both sides of the ball but no one has interest in trying any thing different. 
 Qb talent is in a serious dip, and has been for a while. But every one is still trying to get the same qb.

I'm excited to see how the #1 offense looks with ZC next week. Hopefully it allows us to see who the 5th WR is going to be.
Also looking forward to watching how the various pieces on D look.

I mean mbt came back, ancestral spirits and all. But yeah brown is the only blue chip in league next guy we’ve seen in a while. Last couple flopped hard. 
 Personally, I’d go heavy sets with a really good running qb and pound with some option and simple passing package. Play some bully football. Wils and macs are smaller than ever. Athletic big tes are more available than ever and don’t have a real market value up here. Run 21 and 22 form sets and make a bunch of 200 lbs guys try to get off the blocks of 250+ lbs guys. 

I'm gonna just not take a stand one way or another until we have enough evidence. Other than "well he doesn't have the measurables that I want to see in a DL" we have nothing to go on. He hasn't had enough game time to judge with any certainty. He might be ****, he might be good. I'll wait and see. 

i seen him running around the other day....doing stuff....so not too sure what his issue is, but didnt seem serius...and really...he needs no reps for most part
I tho would like to see Smith given a heavy work load out of backfield...and in slot....as he would be our best return option, as he is a legit RB with big play potential and an excellent reciever
I still getting the old boys club vibe and the head scratcher decisons tho....why would we change course now...especially with injuries.....whereas that is the opportune time to give a guy his shot and make it tough to take it away...we know what our pluggers can do, and they won't be doing more magically...use them as a last resort if new blood needs some sessoning....I'd roll 6 games with youth and aggressive hungry players...see what you have vs the other teams game day rosters...if we have such a great culture and vet leadership than we should over come a new import DT...MLB and extra DE with ease...

Which is why I gave up on the Coach's Show on CJOB and don't bother to listen to it.  I admit that I got spoiled in the Kelly year but even Lapo gave some sort of effort at more than one or two word answers to questions.   Not worth listening to 45 minutes of commercials to hear zero insight on anything.
But hey that's life on that front, I'll take it every day of the week if it means we get to the Cup every year.
