I like how every year for some reason I read about how the Bombers have zero space and money to sign free agents and every year we end up signing some big contract guys. I don't see money being an issue if we are trying to sign a few key free agents.

In regards to Goalie's rant... I was a massive wrestling fan in the 80's and during the late 90's early 2000's. Outside of the guys who are old as dirt (Kurt Angle, Kane, Big Show , HHH etc...) I wouldn't be able to name more then maybe 5 guys on the WWE roster. I have zero idea on who is big and who is not. I will assume that AEW will be trying to attract a new audience and not trying to steal fans away from the WWE product. So for me if the product is entertaining and not focused on 12 year old boys ... I don't care who is wrestling I will be tuning in for the show. It reminds me of back in the mid 90's when ECW started getting popular... I had no idea who most of the stars were (despite many being WWE rejects) but the show itself won me over and it was much watch wrestling for me.

Game 51 : Road Outside Columbus
Brandon replied to FrostyWinnipeg's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
I'd be curious to see what the shot totals are compared from last season to this season. To me it feels like this year we have had many more games where our goalies have had to make a tonne of saves... -
But can Hellebuyck win the teag team titles with Brossoit?

Game 50 : @ I'm Shipping Up to Boston
Brandon replied to FrostyWinnipeg's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
I caught the 2nd period on the radio and the 3rd and OT on TV... both sets of announcers made mention about how miserable of a game Laine was playing. -

Lol I just heard the Ultimate Warriors Theme song in the background of the shootouts.... -
Game 49 : @ I'm In A Philly Mood

I have not listened to any interviews with Maurice as of late, has he made any mention of Laine slumping? -
This is where I struggle to really believe any of this. I never read any real life examples

Outside of hardcore hockey fans and "hockey" families ... I don't really think anyone else even knows what the WHL is. It's a niche audience that is very different from the Moose and I don't see why both can't succeed. It's not like these teams need to draw 10 000 fans or anything.

What if the guy doesn't want to play in Winnipeg anymore?

*Usually* police agencies do have an age limit for when recruits can join and I don't know the specifics for Goossen but with Surrey getting their own police force in the next year or so this may be his only chance at getting on. In the short term he'll make less money, but he'll be pulling in 6 figures within a year or two and then can make that for the next 30 years. I seriously doubt it has anything to do with salary cap because if he were to hit the open market I think many teams including BC would of thrown good money at him.

What do you do for work and how do they pay differently based on gender at your place of employment?
-
Well I'd rather he retire then go play in Riderville! I wonder if this changes the plan with Walters?
-
Different crowds... as a casual hockey fan I would zero interest in driving across town to watch WHL. As a family man who wants to take my kids out without breaking the bank, the Moose is much more interesting for our family of four to go. I do think if the MTS Center was somewhere more safe and family friendly that the Moose crowds would definitely be higher. WHL may do well if out of towners are willing to drive in to watch some hockey. I don't think a large amount of people in town really give a crap about WHL when they can watch the Jets in person or at a local bar.

Is Za Pizza still in City Place? If so then Konz will have a tough time competing. I don't think the cone gimmick is anything that special that it will bring people back...
-
I'd rather the team sign an unknown at receiver and spend any "extra" funds on retaining our free agent o-line guys...
-
Roosevelt will get paid well. Dressler won't be breaking any banks.
-
The back up receivers were better then our starters... I thought Dressler is a FA so why would we cut him?

The MBB All-Time Blue Bomber Team: Defensive Ends
Brandon replied to TrueBlue4ever's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
So what you are saying is you vote for Cameron based on longevity? Would you also vote for Westwood over Medlock because he played more seasons with the Blue and Gold? -
The MBB All-Time Blue Bomber Team: Defensive Ends
Brandon replied to TrueBlue4ever's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Jon Ryan was so bad that he ended up in the NFL for 12 years.... A kind reminder that Jon Ryan had a 50.6 yard average in his last season with the Blue.... Cameron only hit 46.9 as his highest in his many years. If I had to pick one of the two guys to play for an all time great time I'd easily choose Jon Ryan in his prime over Bob Cameron. I can see why people would want Cameron for sentimental reasons, but as a pure punter Jon Ryan was way better. -
Dickenson is a good hire, I only feel bad because the guy is going to be handicap with a terrible offense and will have a massive uphill battle to fight.... They almost have to sign Reilly to have any kind of chance.

Or I can continue living life in the real world and live in a place where gender pay gap does not exist... feel free to share JCon of your workplace and how they pay men more then ladies. That I would be interested in.
-
The pay gap doesn't exist... every paper I read has said that men gravitate towards jobs that pay more, while ladies tend to gravitate to jobs that don't pay as much. Human nature that men are more into the math and science while the ladies are more into administrative and health care jobs. It's human nature that women are more likely wanting to take maternity leave then the father , this is a massive factor when they claim "pay gap differentials". You can't say that scientifically Men and Women are build the same, so of course the end results of who makes more won't be equal 50/50. I myself have never seen two people doing the exact same job where one gender was paid more then another. I'd love to see real world examples of someone working at Wal-Mart making 15 dollars because they were a male , meanwhile a female was given only 10 dollars in pay because she was a female. Nobody ever gives these kinds of examples because in North America this does not exist at all. The old their is 85% of CEO's being male bla bla bla... I don't buy any of that crap. As I said before private enterprise companies will hire whoever can make them the most money. More men are qualified for upper level management because scientifically men are build to be better leaders. I definitely can agree with Kelowna because I've never worked anywhere or seen anywhere where a man was paid more because of his gender. Studies are bull **** and you can find a study backing anything you want.

Why would Glenn go to Saskatchewan to get beat up?
-
I can't imagine they are going to let guys walk away, I'm sure the team has made offers to both Goose and Chungh and it's going to come down to another team offering them more cash then what we can afford. If the team is desperate for a receiver they could always sign Duron Carter lol
