Reilly isn't done.... he's just playing on a team with zero defense and zero run game. Physically the guy still can get it done. BLM is done... he has talent and protection but just cannot make the same throws that he used to.

In 2018 it was very obvious that it was Nichols because Strev would come in and throw darts 10 - 20 yards down field and suddenly the receivers were seeing balls come towards them and making plays and the team could go vertical. 2019 was more of the same... we had receivers running routes but if the first read wasn't wide open he immediately went to the checkdown. You rarely if never saw him extend plays and/or make plays on the run. This is why in the play offs people went crazy for Zach because he would scramble and buy some time and then throw the ball to whoever was open regardless if it was a designed play.

I do want to remind everyone on how much more the offense opened up during LaPo's tenure when they had Streveler and Collaros playing. I think A LOT of the issues was Nichols being terrified of holding the ball and making more then one read and then safety valve dump off. Lapo's issues more so were trying to be to cute at many times throughout the game and also being to cute with Streveler in his 2nd season playing with us.

Is it possible that Desjardins is one of the bigger names that leak info to 3downnation? Maybe that's why they slant more of the negatives towards LaPo?

If we are to believe Desjardins. I'm 50/50 if he's telling the truth or throwing others under the bus for his incompetence.

Buck Pierce is doing a better job IMO at play calls then LaPo. That being said he's coaching a team full of all stars while LaPolice is coaching a team of left overs. Not an apples to apples comparison. Had Buck Pierce left Winnipeg to run the Ottawa offense with that talent... he more then likely would of also been fired by the end of the year. Not even the greatest of coaches could win with Matt Nichols and that group of cast offs. Had LaPolice stayed in Winnipeg he would have much more success then what he currently is experiencing (remind me the win/loss record of LaPo coaching Collaros and which games they won in 2019). TLDR - Buck Pierce is much better, LaPo dug his own grave by hitching his wagon to D level players in Ottawa, we can all agree that Nichols sucks and shouldn't of even been playing in 2019 or 2021, thank god we have moved on and have a real QB and are not running some weird offense.

LaPolice should get canned in the off season and Ottawa needs to start off fresh. LaPolice can replace Barker on the TSN panel.

Saskatchewan had the 2nd best run defense (next to us) in 2019. They also had a top 3 pass defense. Those numbers I posted were the only 2 games Augustine started , so tell me once again why this guy is a bum based on how much he produced on the amount of carries he was given? This was also in an offense in which we had zero passing attack at the time (unlike this season).

I did like how we mixed it up with more runs to Bailey/Demski/Augustine. The one sweep to Bailey worked nicely, they then ran the same play but this time handed it off to Oliveria and the defense completely bit on Bailey which gave Brady a nice hole on the left to run through.

Dickenson's loyalty/stubbornness is what is going to sink that team this year. Maier gives them a better shot at winning.

I'm only concerned if Calgary puts in Maier against us. Otherwise Riders are looking awful and BLM is still having issues throwing the ball which won't get any better in the cold weather.

I didn't read this thread... but can 17to85/Noeller finally stop whining about our offense being subpar after tonight? The whole team was lights out... what a great performance. Even back ups like Augustine and Gray had fun near the end of the game. Great game.
