Cornish was, in effect.... the security blanket for the Calgary O, he opened up a lot of play options and the passing game in general. Right now the Stamps offense is very ordinary.....

Esks simply bungled this one away......bad special teams, turnovers, drops and some very bad decisions.....

Esks special teams laying egg....the same one that Jones is now wiping off his face......

Really miss Matty, he was also a lot of fun on the ole Football Hotline. Tubthumper and some of the other so-called football writers....would be well served to go through the Trib archives, and see what good writing actually looks like....and perhaps gain an understanding...of just how bad their stuff really is. Assuming they could actually make the effort.

Amazed we gave up 3 TD passes, against this guy.....

1. Show up physically....receivers fighting through coverage, OL blocking for run game and protect Willy, and start dragging people down on tackles... 2. Tough coverage on quick release pattens, make Glenn hold the ball longer, break down BC pass pocket and make Glenn scramble out 3. Get a running game going 4. Get some production on 1st down 5. Shut down Harris

Esks got real good pressure with 3-4 rushers. Huge advantage for coverage in the back - they had the middle of the field taped. Their D rushers also did a good job of blocking some Willy's initial passing lanes....you could see Drew thinking about some quick throws and then pulling it back. Moving the pocket might of at least opened up some of those lanes.... The receivers were a complete fail....sitting above, you could see them getting blanketed, and their lack of physicality at times, then not making some plays when they had a chance. The lack of adjustments was evident as well. Some of the draw/trap/shuttle/screen appeared....in garbage time... I've seen Willy throw it better.....but this failure was collective... Watching some of the other QB's this weekend, only reinforces my view....

Hamilton guy should of worn a lower number....to get the call ....

Hamilton has more points already.....that we had in the entire Edmonton game.....

When you take the crucial 10 or 12 plays of any game.....and fail to execute on ANY of them.......you lose, every time....

Could Willy made some better throws here and there, sure. But he was surrounded by a whole lot of nothing, last night.....period.
