    Still remember Hefney on the post gamer, after Burke's debut - 56-0 against the Riders....stating that the overall effort "was fine" and that he was satisfied with his play. Doug and Mitch were literally speechless for a moment, as was I.

    What bothered me.... beyond all the selfishness, loud-mouthing, hotdogging, showboating, and even dissing of the fans, the last number of years ....was that this stuff was even tolerated, time after time... and that excuses were always made, internally and externally for these people - instead of just dealing with them. Part of a larger culture of excusemeistering, that permeated the entire organization. Pleasantly surprised how quick that particular stench, has dissipated......

    It seem that the "grass roots" approach has filtered down.... from the new management, through the coach, to the players. Fits the traditions of this league, very well...

    Picked the Blue to go 8-8, based on perceived improvement at Coaching/QB. For years, I hammered about the need for direction, leadership, and creating a sense of purpose...so many times, I am sure that most of you were somewhat sick of it. Impossible to measure the impact.... when a leader emerges, and gets the attention, respect, and total buy-in from the players. Think we have seen some of that "maximizing" effect, so far this year.....on a team that still has holes....on paper.

    So one of the biggest media personalities and journalists in thw city is allowed to pen an article with ideas as dumb as seen on a fan forum without ridicule? Come on man, this guy is supposed to be a professional.. And to suggest his idiot ideas are ok because they are on par with stupid ideas on here is quite possibly the worst argument you have ever put forth.. No worries.....Lawless can simply regurgitate these brainstorms on the radio....while the rest of the Yahoo 1290 lackeys, tell him what a all-knowing seer, he is.....

    So Tubthumper's current litmus test for the organization.... is their ability to trade an aging January, from the weakest part of the team....for.some significant and immediate domestic help. Seen more realistic ideas, in a game of 52 pickup. Try a dartboard next? ....and yes, I shoot the messenger....when instead of some real Bomber news or actual analysis/insights.....we get this simplistic, lazy and shallow stuff.
