  1. Maybe he's just as confused about the roster management we employ and asked for his release?
  2. Both Adams and Moore both threw their arms up like WTF? and were talking to the ref but he obviously wasn't interested in what they had to say.
  3. Since its been brought up...Did Muamba ever make his way to Winnipeg? No mention of him anywhere He has a workout with Green Bay tomorrow so I assume the CFL is on hold.
  4. Joe Burnett is out for the year with a broken ankle & ligament damage. Very costly game for the Stamps.
  5. I'll stop you right there (not that the rest of your post doesn't have merit & valid points). You can go to non-Bomber CFL boards and find the same criticism of Black. It's definitely not just a MBB thing. Google the Rod Black drinking game and the 1st results are from the RF board.
  6. Possibly but he's still the boss so it falls on him. He gets the credit for the good and the blame for the bad that happens under his watch.
  7. They need to stop recruiting guys from Subway...
  8. True but is the implication the mother orchestrated a shake down? Im not sure she had the time. I don't believe she had the time at that point, but maybe it got the wheels turning. The whole paper bag thing has me thinking she's got her own agenda going on and sees dollar signs. Maybe once the tests showed no Kane DNA, she saw the payday slipping away so she decided to do something. Even if that theory isn't correct, what she was trying to accomplish with the paper bag is a complete mystery. The more stuff comes out, the more I believe the girl's lawyer was on the right track when he quit... believe the girl but don't trust the mom.
  9. Makes sense... the owner did state that he wasn't sure if it was the same girl but he just kind of assumed it was based on what he saw at the bar.
  10. I just don't want to feel like this anymore on gamedays...
  11. The part about Kane approaching her caught my eye because I remembered this from when the story 1st broke:
  12. You're right, the mother is tainted, and that's the potential problem I see with the timeline. It says she went to her mother's house not her own (she may live there too though so who knows if it's just poor wording) and anything to do with the mother now has to be scrutinized.
  13. Veltung is on the 6 game IR so that probably won't happen.
  14. That's what law enforcement and the court system are for. There's a girl who went straight to the hospital after the alleged attack vs a guy with a history a being a drunken asshat. It's not surprising the public isn't fully on board with believing in his innocence. Apparently not. The story keeps changing. Julie DiCaro ✔ @JulieDiCaro Sedita: Accuser changed her top at mother's home before she went to hospital for rape kit.
  15. 200 seats not 50 according to Friesen. http://www.winnipegsun.com/2015/09/24/some-200-fans-now-have-obstructed-view-for-winnipeg-jets-games-after-renovations-to-mts-centre
  16. He won 10 of those world series too. 15 time all-star (and 3 time AL MVP) in that time is also very impressive because it means he was a great player, not just some bench warmer on a powerhouse team.
  17. Just need Henoc to bodyslam a sumo wrestler on an aircraft carrier and he's good to go. I'm sure an O-lineman can substitute for Yokozuna but I'm not sure where he'd get the ship since Canada doesn't have any!
  18. The 1st cuts have been announced. Sent to the Moose: Axel Blomqvist Austen Brassard Aaron Harstad David Leggio Jimmy Lodge Jussi Olkinuora Brennan Serville Peter Stoykewych Back to Junior: Jansen Harkins-Prince George (WHL) Matteo Gennaro-Prince Albert (WHL) Michael Spacek-Red Deer (WHL)
  19. Henoc is in Winnipeg tomorrow per Lawless.
  20. Unless that deal is way out of the ballpark of what they consider to be a fair offer. The timing (and offer) might be better for them after the election, depending on who's in power.
  21. Yes, there were negotiations happening, even while the court case was active. The 1st Nations have been given an offer according to one of the chiefs involved (Dennis Meeches from Long Plain) but they don't trust the Feds and have concerns the whole thing will fall apart.
  22. I think it has more to do with the on-field product than being cheap. I have extra tickets to both October games that I'll be lucky to get rid of at any price, especially if the weather doesn't cooperate!
  23. I don't think the Kapyong thing is close to being finished. The only thing the court case managed to do was confirm the Feds did not consult with 1st Nations on the sale of the land. There is no guarantee that the land will go to them, just that they get a chance to negotiate a deal. If the government decides to go with a different deal, I can easily see this ending back in court. The 1st time it was we weren't consulted at all, the next time it will be we weren't consulted fairly/properly. I haven't seen anything that clarifies what the "consult" entails so the 2 parties could have vastly different expectations.
