This is pretty much me, except I really never checked in again until recently. I "graduated" to mma. My kid's getting old enough to watch wrestling now, so I'll watch some with him. I really don't know much about what's happened between the attitude era and now. I have tickets to the show here in December. Real case of deja-vu watching my kid turn into a huge wrestling fan. Same here (minus the kid getting me back into it). Left wrestling when the Attitude era died & MMA really took off (I was always an mma fan, it just didn't compete for my viewing time as there were only events every couple months at best). I check in now & again just to see what's going on but I can't remember the last time I watched a full raw or ppv or went to a live show.

More irony is that Paul Heyman warned Vince not to allow it... now with his association with Lesnar, he's benefiting from it!

You don't think the WWF was almost all squashes on Saturday mornings as a kid? I'm not sure I would call SD Jones, Iron Mike Sharp or Barry Horowitz 1st class talent.

Just a correction. He did not medal at the Pan Am Games I can't even find anything that says he qualified). He did compete at the Pan Am Greco-Roman Championships which is a much different and smaller event , but he never medalled. In 97 he finished 5th, and he competed again in 98 but finished no higher than 4th (I can only find the medals winners for this year). There were no championships in 1999 due to the Pan Am games in Winnipeg, and if he competed in 2000, then he did not medal again in this year.

I was surprised to see that Price has now dropped 6 straight starts against Edmonton.

The kids are putting up a good fight against a hot Canadiens team. Win or lose, coming back from a 3-0 deficit is very impressive. Good to see both Nurse and Draisaitl playing with the big boys.

Thorburn had 8 fights last year which is about par for him (he's averaged 9 fights a year during his career) so I'm not sure where that came from. He fought at least once a month last year until the last 6 weeks of the season.

Thorburn would be the other option to go with Kane but they were pretty close while he was here so I doubt that would happen.
