Actually Bill O'Brian has done an excellent job recruiting kids to come play at PSU. His last recruiting class was ranked 30th best in the nation, which is pretty good when you look at the sanctions that have been put them. Their freshman quarterback Christian Hackenberg was the consensus No. 1 pocket passer in his recruiting class.
O'Conner had letter of offer from 12 major conference teams.

That's the problem that has been around this franchise for 20 years its this guy is the best right now. Its not who is going to be the best 6 games from now, at the end of the year, two years from now.
I think they are looking for better placement on the kickoffs. Trying to get it between the numbers and sideline with out the kicks out bounds that Palardy has been prone to.
Saw this on feature on Michael O'Conner a quarterback from Ontario that has committed to Penn St. for the 2014 next year on Sportcentre last night. Looks like the kid has a lot of potential and wants to play professional football no matter it be the CFL or NFL.

If the goal is to upgrade talent no matter how good the guys we have here are if he is better than sign him. Also he is a leader and type of guy you want in your locker room.
Just listened to the press conference and it would seem with the language used that Walters is going no where even if he does not get the full time job.
