Worth noting, the common refrain during Mack's reign was "well look what Kelly left for them! Our Canadian talent is much better now." Can't help but feel a little deja vu when reading this stuff now. However I really do think that our Canadian talent now is the best it's been since 2011, maybe even 2007-08. Certainly our starters look good on paper.

I don't make a habit of watching it but I have seen it many times. It's oh so easy to be a genius political commentator when you're also a comedian. Any time his views are examined critically, he just throws out a punch line and people eat it right up. Makes claims like "We need better gun control" when there is a shooting and people think he is brilliant for it. Never mind the fact that he will never have to (nor will he ever attempt to) deal with issues in the real world. Real easy to look smart when you never, ever have to back it up.

I like O'Shea the guy. I really hope this year works out and when I look at the roster I don't see any reason why this team can't be competitive. So hopefully O'Shea and Lapo can make it work. But I'm not getting my hopes up too high.

Right, that's why I don't blame the judge. He made the only reasonable judgement under the circumstances. I do believe the crown could have done a better job with their case, though. And I wouldn't necessarily say the witnesses "lied." I mean if someone asked me what I had for lunch a week ago I would have trouble giving a consistent answer. We're talking about the distant past and traumatic circumstances. Of course the witnesses don't have everything rock solid.

Yes the Jets are very light on defenceman prospects. We are still bringing up Atlanta draft picks (Chiarot, Melchiori) and the only Jets draft picks in the system are essentially Morrissey and Kostalek. Poolman would be a fine addition to the Moose.

Food quality is very low. I like Shawarma Khan and Pizza Hotline is OK I guess. But variety is lacking and everything outside of those two options are bleh.

I think Chychrun will be a fantastic NHL defenceman. I'm hoping for him, Matthews, or Tkachuk to be honest. And I think we'll get one of them.

There's a mass murder or terrorist attack and they go on their meaningless little rant about gun control, xenophobia or whatever the flavor of the month is and it explodes on social media "OMG they're so right!!
