  1. Blame the officials all you want but three goals in two games against the best team in the conference just isn't going to cut it.
  2. You know what would be awesome? Having a captain that actually acts like a captain. His turnover in game one that resulted in a goal was bad enough. Even worse was the penalty Ladd took that resulted in a goal tonight. Thankfully he's a free agent after next year.
  3. McDavid will absolutely be the missing piece, the answer in Edmonton... ...Just like Hall, RNH, and Yakupov all were
  4. So let me see if I get this straight - We're dumping Michael Caine, and Christian Bale, inserting Ben Affleck, and making Batman's eyes glow and turning him into a villain? Yeah I'll pass. Thanks though Warner Brothers.
  5. Not sure it would have mattered in the end but still... "By virtue of the rule, the actions of both players qualified as a violation of goalkeeper interference and should result in a disallowed goal." http://www.tsn.ca/c-mon-ref-should-perry-s-second-goal-have…
  6. Retaliation, it's gonna get called. That's just it. Is it weak? Yeah you could make that argument, but Kesler knew exactly what he was doing and Scheifele fell for it. Retaliation penalties rarely go uncalled.
  7. Stupid, selfish penalties (hi Mark Scheifele), defensive zone turnovers (hi Andrew Ladd - Where have you been the past month), and your best player being invisible (hi Dustin Byfuglien) against the best team in the conference makes for a very short series.
  8. 8-10 or 9-9. Playoff birth. Anything more is just gravy.
  9. Won't play tomorrow but it wasn't catastrophic we don't think. - Maurice just now.
  10. I guess people didn't learn anything with Grigsby and getting excited over a 40 yard dash time. Look at his yards per carry. He also has a history of injuries through his time in Maryland which carried over to his time with the Giants hence why he was out of the NFL in three years. He also lacks an ability to break tackles.
  11. Depends on what happens with Minnesota.
  12. Fleury, Luongo, Bobrovsky, Quick just to name a few. Not saying he's that calibre of goalie but there definitely is good goalies in that range.
  13. Personally I think it's just giving credit where it's due. He's playing extremely well right now. He deserves to be praised.
  14. I'd love to be proven wrong and the Jets ride Pavelec to the next 3 Stanley Cups!! That's all it will take hey? Haha comical.
  15. Flames fans wore red when the team was in white. Seemed to turn out alright.
  16. The Oilers would allow that to happen...
  17. Or we could just win again and say to hell with them both See. Nothing to it folks.
  18. Yeah he was out of position though....
  19. No offence intended but I'm not sure it really matters that much. Hypothetically lets say it comes to an end but we still make the playoffs - Do you sit Pavelec for a rookie goalie who hasn't played well since late February? Not likely unless you're absolutely forced. I like Hutch, don't get me wrong but there's just some things that aren't very smart to do in this time of the season. Starting a rookie goalie in this stage of the season or in the playoffs (yes there are a select few exceptions) unless you're forced isn't the best way to extend your season. For better or for worse it's Pavelec from here on out this year.
  20. Tough to count on either scenario given what's at stake. Losing to either Arizona or Edmonton with your season on thin ice would be as bad as it gets. Highly doubt it happens to the Kings especially, solely for the fact of the Stanley Cup credentials on the roster, nevermind it is the Oilers after all.
  21. We have good, young pieces on the ice now with the big club, and more coming down the pipe which is a great thing of course. The problem Chevy is going to have, and I suppose it's a good one compared to other issues you could have, is trying to get all the young players who deserve to be on the ice, while extending the core players. With the Jets not being a team that spends to the cap, and with there only being so many spots and X amount of young players coming, nevermind a deep upcoming draft where we have two first round picks, we will also likely see some good pieces leave within the next three years. They are tough decisions for sure. You can't keep everybody.
