Bombers vs RedBlacks (and Jovon's chirp)
Mr. Perfect replied to Westy Sucks's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
We're definitely in tough tonight. He's just the last person who should be running his mouth. -
NFL trade deadline is not week 6. This year it's November 3. The league and the PA moved the NFL trade deadline to week 8 in 2012. And yes, agrees the CFL trade deadline is a bit late. I wouldn't mind seeing it be the week of labour day, or the week after personally.

While it does improve the QB situation, here's why I don't think it's the end of the world: - Going to a new team, it's going to take time to learn a new playbook. Granted Glenn is a seasoned veteran, he still isn't going to have everything down pat by Sunday. On top of that Hamilton has a top two defence, so I wouldn't be surprised if this week is a struggle for him. - Following that the team is on the road in Toronto, and on the road in Edmonton. Those will be two very difficult games for Montreal to win. - The bad part is Montreal ends at home against Saskatchewan. Pretty much an automatic W. That being said even with Glenn, considering their schedule I think 1-3 is a very real possibility for them. The big issue is whether or not we'll be able to do our job these next three games. Personally I'm much more skeptical of that than anything Montreal may or may not do in terms of wins.

One game lol. Granted a fantastic one game, but still...ONE GAME. May Mike Kelly's quote of a schizophrenic fan base live in infamy. Anyone remember Rob Pikula's game with us when Westwood got hurt? What happened after... Why take anything with a grain of salt lol. Jump in with both feet. Sergio for president/ceo/gm/hc/oc/dc and emporor! Like I'm not trying to be a rooster (the alternative was understandably censored) contrary to what most people may want to believe. If it so happens Castillo turns out to be our kicker for the next 5-7 years, perhaps longer, fantastic. That being said I'm not going to proclaim him to be a kicking savior off of one game. You can make a very, very long list of athletes, football or otherwise that have had one solid game, or one solid debut, and accomplished a whole lot of nothing afterwards. Just a general observation, he seems to have quite the routine that he goes through from the moment he steps on the field, to the moment the ball is kicked. Rather interesting I thought.

It's Pavelec's fault. Just thought I'd get that out of the way quickly

I don't think we're giving Nichols enough credit. There isn't much of a drop off between him and Drew Willy. If much prefer Nichols over Tate. Bloody hell...

Unfortunate for us, but hardly surprising at the same time. We have bigger issues to take care of.

No End Call - CFL confirms it was an incorrect call
Mr. Perfect replied to Floyd's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Of course not. That would involve people acknowledging they really don't understand what it is that they are watching. -

If there was one day I'd ever wish Mike Kelly still had a role, any role with this team it would be today where he would surely tell the league to go have intercourse with itself. -
In the case of no end, which is a formation penalty, not a lineman moving before the snap, the play proceeds. But usually the flag flies immediently I thought, not after the snap or even after the play.. Correct. I was referring to the part where you said it's a pre-snap penalty, in which case most plays are blown dead.

No End Call - CFL confirms it was an incorrect call

The NFL may have its own issues and be far from perfect, but tonight more than ever I am thankful for its existence. -
what available coach would you hire?
Mr. Perfect replied to Taynted_Fayth's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I'm not on the fire O'Shea bandwagon, but if we were to make a change I'd pick Tommy Condell. -
You're comparing a solid turd to diarrhea. Sure one is worse than the other, but at the end of the day, both are still....crap.

Week 13 - Edm 25 Ham 18 & Ott 30 Sask. 27
Mr. Perfect replied to Mr Dee's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
How so? Objectively his numbers are better than Glenn's and KG is having a decent game. Because numbers has nothing to do with it. He's reckless with the ball, incredibly streaky, inaccurate more often than not and he's a brutal cold weather quarterback once October/November rolls around...just to name a few reasons. -

I hate so much the CFL's application of the horse collar tackle in how it's a penalty if it happens to the QB when he's in the pocket. I much prefer the NFL version where it's not a penalty if the QB is in the pocket. Weak call. -

And has been for awhile. I still find it comical how many were disappointed when we "lost" out on him prior to the start of last season. -
Quoted for truth.

Bombers trade for rights of Tajh Boyd
Mr. Perfect replied to Jpan85's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Agreed 100 per cent. If he comes here, he'll be a project. This isn't a bad move though by any means. -
We don't have a million in cap space and if you don't like the question then don't answer or respond. It's a legit question that Walters may need to consider. None of us know the Bombers true cap situation.Have the Bombers hired you to audit their books? But it's really not a legit question, hence the point that I made. It's a hypothetical question, and a silly, nonsensical one at that. Then leave the thread and stop posting if it bothers you that much. Believe it or not sport, just because someone disagrees with a point (and a stretched one at that) you're trying to make, doesn't mean they should not post calling you out on it. Welcome to a fan forum, where if you make silly comments, chances are you're going to get called on it.

Lets not let facts get in the way of a pointless debate

If we have the over one million dollars in cap space currently that's been speculated about recently, coupled with the Chris Greaves trade who was getting paid quite handsomely, there's no reason whatsoever that we can't have both. It's a bit of a silly question to be honest given that.

Silence is good, in cases like these anyway
