Always trade weight for speed at the DT spot. Doug Brown has always talked about how much weight he had to lose when he came north because he just couldn't run as much as he needed to. This isn't the NFL (thank goodness...)

the more I think about it, the more I think the draft picks shoulda been conditional. If Hall bolts for the NFL, then they get the 2nd rounder as a sort of compensation, and we get a 4th, but if he re-signs there, then this REALLY looks silly on our part.....so no draft picks should move...

I'm not totally sure how I feel about all this just yet, but I gotta think that Walters did his diligence and this was the only deal available. If it was the ONLY deal you could make before Weds, then so be it, but I'm not convinced that it'll work out for us. There is a lot of speculation that Neufeld is very injury prone and may not play that much longer. And giving up the 2nd rounder for a 4th is really really dumb.

The city and province both appoint board members currently. Some strong arguments for communist dictatorship here from some of the most conservative posters. I'm curious who people feel should be at the very top of the food chain. At the end of the day, SOMEONE has to have final say. There has to be a top of the pyramid.......so who should it be??

Bullshit. Don't tell me we can't afford him. We've got just as much money as anyone, even if a lot of it's "hush hush" under-the-table stuff. We parked for free at the BPs on Pembina, had a few pre-game pops and a bite before the game, and then walked to and from the stadium. Worked out really well, actually, and isn't that far of a walk. Seems there's lots of options like that...
