  1. You, sir, have a fantastic handle and avatar....
  2. I'm in a slopitch playoff tournament this weekend, and may have to miss the game depending on how we do. First game at 8am (!!) and depending on win or loss we're up again at 11am or 2pm. At least I can say I will not be sober during the game...it's always 5 o'clock somewhere during slo-pitch.....
  3. Sigh...I can't believe what I just watched...
  4. this is a **** show...complete and utter **** show....
  5. Christ's sake....just finish this, BC......
  6. #OneOfUs #OneOfUs
  7. this game is pretty much as to be expected...
  8. But is it worth that just for the chance to talk to him? 'Cause there's no guarantees that he'd sign. It was JUST the rights to talk to him...
  9. that's not at all what I got from the piece about Mack. I got that he was convinced he could recruit better players down south than he'd find up north, cast off from other teams. I don't think I realized just how little he thought of Canadian football, and maybe he thought he could just take an American approach to this game because somehow US football is better than Canadian football, period. Damn shame.
  10. Go into your profile, Robyn (click your name at the top right...drop down box...) there's a "Manage Ignore Prefs" option
  11. I'm a huge fan of that article Wiecek did with Walters. Really sounds like the Bombers are on the right track. I will never fault Mack for how he did things, but I'm not opposed to doing things the "normal" CFL way for the time being. Getting back to being even an AVERAGE team would be a step up at this point...
  12. Montreal defense will need to stand on their heads in this one (HA!)
  13. And as for Glenn, the word at the time was that Calgary was asking for Chris Matthews and our 1st Rounder. In the winter, would you have made that deal? I sure wouldn't. Mack was right to balk at both the Reilley and Glenn "deals"...
  14. I'm willing to do anything, at this point, to just get Iso to shut up about it...
  15. Bishop is a moron and one of the most overrated QBs to ever play our game. The only season where he "was in a good situation" is the season where the defense carried him the entire way. He just barely did enough to not completely **** up and cost them everything. Good lord, I don't care how little you think of Buck Pierce, you've gotta think this was a far better situation...
  16. In my opinion, if we had stuck with Michael Bishop in 2010 instead of signing Buck Pierce, this team would be in a better situation right now. I actually don't disagree with this... You should, because it's ridiculous...
  17. You can. Touch in the post and it should open up a menu where you can choose quotewell holy hell...I learned something.
  18. the whole "weak arm" thing is patently absurd, and gets debated in these spaces all the time by people who clearly don't know what they're talking about. Scouts are never going to bring a guy to a TC (never mind the coaches actually putting them on the team...) if his arm is too weak to play pro football. Hell, if you made it through a NCAA program, then you've got enough of an arm.
  19. Oh how I wish I could quote on my phone...
  20. Well, it's not like we have to bring someone in just for the sake of bringing someone in. If you find the right guy, then by all means go get him. But don't bring in a guy like Porter, just 'cause you think you have to bring in any warm body. I'm fine running with what we have unless you find the exact guy you're looking for.
  21. Even if we don't get the W this week, here's hoping Hall shows continued progress, and does enough to earn continued starts. At this point, it's all we can really ask for. Wins are a bonus.
  22. There's more to the future than Wins right now. Development might take awhile, but if losses now means more wins down the road, then so be it. Now, I'm not as harshly against Buck as some around here, but I'm willing to commit to one of the young'ns if the coaching staff believes there's a real future there. #WhateverItTakes
  23. Our 2nd half adjustments have been atrocious all season, on the offensive side of the ball, so it'll be real interesting to see if we're actually able to get some momentum in the 2nd half...
  24. back in Kelowna now.... I was absolutely liquored. Stone cold sober, over here......cough.
  25. Excited to see Max Hall's 2nd start...git 'er dun, son...
